Making preparations for Southport I'm patching up the Fizmo. Working on this particular patch its merely one oscilator (4 pairs of two per sound) tweaked quite badly.

I couldn't help fidgeting about with it and try to play something live with it. So this is what it may sound like in Southport.

There is a behringer Tube and compressor involved here to warm and fatten it up a bit more.

think i have heard most of them ...
the fizmo is intriguing ... not anything quite like it happening right now AFAIK ...

i think it's time to 'step up to the plate' , and compose a full track featuring the fizmo(s) ...
i'd like to hear four or five cross- pollenating simultainiuosly ...

don't fry your fuses in southport ...

my connection got throttled cos I exceeded my datalimit. So, Mystahr your song has the "honour" of being the first to download now my connection is back up.

This is pretty minimal stuff you've made here. I don't like the high & loud (in volume) frequncies at ±4:30. They hurt my ears. It may be a bit too minimal and empty for my taste at the moment. I am abit restless and full of engery and that mood is not too compatiable with the mood / feel of your song.

but still it's sort of cool, I guess.

Listened to the track, too, though. Interesting in terms of sounds, but not something I'd listen to repeatedly in terms of composition; though, you already stated that you were mostly mucking about, so that's not a surprise.

And it should be doable within one song too as the Fizmo has 6 midi channels available to use at the same time. It will require a bit more indepth tweaking though

If ever you find one, don't hesitate though

@ austere, if you need a bit more compatible sound to your emotions I suggest SM Ash probably on page 2 or 3 by now. Thanks for the listen though. I agree there is a huge dynamics difference, but there really isn't a way to change this since there is no midi-host involved here.

Damn, as it turns out, a Fizmo is a hardware synth I can't afford, and Southport is the location of a gathering of lunatics which I can't attend!

Well, at least the tune was a good listen.

It's not so much a matter of affording, but more of finding one, as they are quite rare.
As for Southport; you'd have been welcome there, or else there'll be another kvr-meet next year
