@ mrfrenkie Ok this fails only in Bitwig, then this is a different issue than the one fixed and I suppose it happens since 1.0.0 ?
Have you opengl rendering enabled ?
Thanks !

All the UVI soundbanks are done with it. We don't use stuff that are not available to other Falcon users.Numanoid wrote: Anybody can show some skinned instruments made with Lua?
They only work in FalconNumanoid wrote: These instruments must be used inside Falcon, or can work outside like VSTs ? I mean, like with stuff exported out of Maize Sampler for example

Up to the developer really. Anybody can release an unprotected Falcon lib (much like Kontakt). However Falcon itself uses iLok, and that alienates some users from it.Numanoid wrote:If third party scripted libs in Falcon must be iLok verified like third party libs for the UVI workstation, that will have to unfortunately raise the price point of most libs I guess

Any chance for some of the Hollow Sun libs to be transferred to Falcon to test out the market ?

Very unlikely. I haven't gotten my grips with Lua at all yet, so that would take some time first. I'm busy as hell as is with Kontakt stuff so that leaves little to no time for other things, plus making the next HS library is going (unfortunately and not really what I like either) at a GLACIAL pace, so... I think HS is going to be Kontakt-only for time to come.

Yes, it happens since 1.0.0 in Bitwig, Ableton, Reaper. Now it happens only with Bitwig (since 1.0.3). I tried open GL. It does not help. I can contact with developers Bitwig but I do not think that I can help you solve this problem.otristan wrote:@ mrfrenkie Ok this fails only in Bitwig, then this is a different issue than the one fixed and I suppose it happens since 1.0.0 ?

Works fine for me in Bitwig Studio 1.3.5 on Windows 8.1 x64.I don't think I ever had that problem.mrfrenkie wrote:Yes, it happens since 1.0.0 in Bitwig, Ableton, Reaper. Just judging by the results, I'd say that the acoustic guitars I've heard made for UVI/Falcon are even better than the ones I've heard for Kontakt. I bought GD-6 and haven't been disapointed (and I also have Komplete 10 to compare to).Numanoid wrote:Advanced users can take instrument design further by creating custom script processors that can generate, or modify MIDI data. You can even design fully-skinned instruments with the Lua language.Sampleconstruct wrote:I just use a normal text editor, works perfectly fine.aMUSEd wrote:Do you need a specific Lua app? - I would have thought any script aware text editor would do - eg Atom has a Lua addon

Is it on par with Kontakt 5 scripting?
Anybody can show some skinned instruments made with Lua?

The strumming on every other acoustic guitar patch I've heard sounds mechanical. GD-6 (or the other Acoustic Samples guitars) are the most realistic, natural sounding, playable strummers I've heard.

It seems like you could possibly get a similar effect by putting a (very small, few milliseconds) random amount of delay for each of the FM osc., which might be able to be achieved with Lua?otristan wrote:@Sampleconstruct

You are both right.
What mrfrenkie want is to attenuate this phasing and/or increase the panning effect by allowing to change the FM oscillator phase.(and/or have it free running)
This is currently not possible right now, but we plan to expand it in the near future a bit to allow things like that.
If you only want to only improve the stereo, you can checkout the Widener FX though.
Hope this clarify things.

You cannot only address separately layers, not oscillator.jacobh wrote:It seems like you could possibly get a similar effect by putting a (very small, few milliseconds) random amount of delay for each of the FM osc., which might be able to be achieved with Lua?otristan wrote:@Sampleconstruct

Widener will delay the audio which at end does the same thing.

I have two suggestions for the update installer writer:
1) remember the previous VST location
2) don't try to install PACE stuff again

^^^
Good suggestions. Currently installer always reverts to just the VST location, it doesn't remember user's custom location. And yes, installing iLok license manager should be optional.
