The only other Dev I can think of that has a time limited upgrade is Toontracks for EZdrummer.
Means they'll lose a lot if customers.

Upgrade is ongoing, and indicated on the Miroslav Philharmonik 2 page. The downloadable version will be a $/€299.99 upgrade. Crossgrade and full pricing are also ongoing and noted on that page as well.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Yeah, by ongoing I mean permenant.mkb1967 wrote:IK has extended the intro pricing for full and upgrades until Dec. 31.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Shame these no ongoing upgrade price

Anyone else having issues installing?
Part 1 fails everytime for me, saying it can't copy the instruments. The rest have installled fine (I'm installing poart 10 now).
I've raised a ticket and in the meantime manually copied the files across.

That wouldn't be very "introductory" then, though, would it?VariKusBrainZ wrote:I meant at the current 199 pricePeter - IK Multimedia wrote:Upgrade is ongoing, and indicated on the Miroslav Philharmonik 2 page. Well,
I ended up spending €199 last night on plugins. Just not Miro 2, which was really unjustifiable. Soniccouture makes some nice stuff, though.

It installed ok here on Mac. (I have had frustratingly little time to play with it so far, thoughrollasoc wrote:Anyone else having issues installing?

I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

Try moving the installer and sound content folder to a minimal path. The file names become too long when the path is deep.rollasoc wrote:Anyone else having issues installing?

I moved the installer folder to the desktop to resolve the file name too long issue. Root folder would probably be even better.
That is, if you are on Windows.
I can't understand at all the way they did the installation. Dumb, just dumb. 16 downloads, 16 separate installations. Dumb, just dumb.

Although I agree that the download was needlessly tedious, I think I get the need for multiple installers now. I believe it would allow you to have the content on different drives. If that's the case, it's a good move. If not, it is just needlessly annoying.dsan@mail.com wrote: I can't understand at all the way they did the installation. Sorry, I don't follow SJ. Actually, I see the need for multiple dl's more than the need for many installs. Due to amount of content I don't think one could ever finish a download if just one package.
Each time I was given the option of where to install to. And had to click through multiple screens to get the installation performed. That is the dumb part. How many times is it necessary to agree to the license?
This could have been a lot easier, and quicker, if they would have done like some other devs have and allow the content installer to install all the content at once.
Cheers!

Obviously people have downloaded it now...any comments on sound?
The only reason I'd upgrade is for something to hold me over until I can collect all of the VSL SE libraries, but I have $100 in Gear Credits as it is. Is it worth spending another $100 over M1?

I downloaded & installed Miroslav 2 with no problems. Before the release, ppl gave bad feedbacks to the demo songs but I found MP2 sounds pretty good and adequate indeed.
The definition of the low-end strings/brass improved. Also, until now I didn't realize the convolution reverbs are impressive. Personally, however, I found MP1 oboe sounds more musical than the MP2 one somehow.
There must be other better libraries our there but I'm quite happy with the purchase.
If I made bad songs, it would be due to the lack of my orchestration, composition or mixing skills, not the library.
