Hard to say about the sound. It takes a bit to get a composition done in context. Still mapping out articulations and routings aND such. The general sound is good.

VSL gives you 1 download file. It then manages the multiple files for you. That's how it should be.

People are complaining about that very same thing in the NI Christmas Gift thread. They want individual downloads.

I don't understand this. I got individual downloads in the NI Christmas gift. 1 for Reaktor and 1 for the blocks.

With VSL there are actually multiple files download, but you don't have to deal with them individually.

think of the 3 block synths as a soundset that needs the reaktor player to function. the reaktor player exists for far more than just these 3 freebies

But that isn't correct, it's 3 ensembles built off the blocks.

I just used 60 dollars worth of Jam points on this upgrade (yea, it allows you who have them to use them) and think its a great deal! And (not pointing at anyone specifically) I must say Ive not seen such a bunch of complaining whine bag cheapskates in my life. Im sure thats pretty harsh too, but after reading this thread its very justified at least for some....Oh yea, Merry Christmas.

I dunno, I heard interested current Miro 1 users and serious potential customers discussing the features and quality of the offering and discussing if it was worth the upgrade to them. I don't see that as a bunch of cheapskates, even the upgrade of $199 is substantial enough to investigate and debate it's worth, no?
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

And those folks were not the ones I was referring to. Yes Debate is always a good thing if we are discussing the features and quality of the offering, while in the same breath not wanting something for nothing, no?

"Those folks" and the others? How you managed to to differentiate between them?

How do you know who have MP1 or is a serious potential customers and who falls in your "bunch of complaining whine bag cheapskates" category?

Where do you read that people wanted it for free or like you wrote "something for nothing"?
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

just as soundsets are packages of presets made from the building blocks of a synth, so are these synths made from the building blocks of reaktor 6. the synths need reaktor to work, but the player can be used for many other ensembles, even if you have zero interest in the block stuff

they do not need to be packaged together

JRR has it and way cheaper for us Euros as its priced in dollars plus extra discount

Post

The prices at JRR are nice for those who haven't purchased any IK products but if you have some Jampoints and are going to get the upgrade, buying 200 gear credits with Jampoints is the cheapest option. With the way, I got a copy of the MP2 upgrade for about $120. :)

could any of the first users give perhaps some Feedback here? how are the strings? what about the "legato"? Is it real legato with recorded transitions? could you perhaps post Audio examples of the legato strings?
that would be very helpful...

Still on the fence on this one. I'm tempted, but I'm not looking for it to be a permanent solution, which is why I'm questioning. I would like some somewhat decent strings sooner rather than later, though.
