Didn't see this mentioned but looks like G3 has released the first tutorial on Falcon, with Eli Krantzberg.

Happy Holidays everyone.

Post

Very Cool, I like Eli's tutorials and am currently subscribed to Groove 3.

Falcon looked tempting untill I saw the word iLock on the site.

You don't have to use an iLok key anymore. You can license up to 3 computers without a key. Just create an ilok account, connect the computer(s) you want to license briefly and you're done.

Thank's for these fixes and the oscillator duplication (that was my no. 1 feature request), now I can release my library very soon...

I've been playing around a lot with the wavetable oscillator, and was wondering if there is a way for wavetables created from images, or imported from other sources (Serum, Galbanum's Architecture wavetables) to appear in the drop-down like the factory wavetables do? So far it seems like the only option is to create an oscillator preset. It is nice that once you've dropped a wavetable onto the oscillator, the arrows above the display will scroll through the other tables in the same folder, but it would be nice if the Single and Multi categories in the drop-down had a place to show user files. Perhaps in an update, there could be something the user could set in Parameters to point to where you want to store the user wavetables. Unless there's already a way to do this, and I'm just overlooking something?

There may be other ways but what I do is create a wavetable in whatever program I want to use. Mostly Audio-Term. After I've created it, I drag it into the wavetable osc box where it says "sine".

You can them save the patch with the sample you imported, in which case it will create a folder with that sample or you can just save the patch regularly. The program will internally remember where the wavetable came from as far as the path. As long as you don't move or delete that folder, Falcon will have no problem finding that wavetable the next time you open that patch.

Hope this answers the question you're asking.

Some Christmas music in 12-8, combining six Falcons, multi-sampled sleigh bells, bell trees, camel bells, buffalo drum, keys, cymbal scape - 100% Falcon, just a limiter on the outs:

Thanks, but that didn't really answer the question; right now I'm doing what you're doing. What I would like is to be able to see a list of user or purchased wavetables appear like the factory ones do. In this thread (http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 7&start=15) zvenx posted an image of the Architecture wavetables showing up in the drop-down in Serum along with the factory wavetables. I'd like that convenience with Falcon.

Yeah, don't think that's possible right now.

For now just add the wavetable folder to Places, from there you can access the main folder and subfolders easily.

That'll work for now. It's time to play some more.

You can do it. There should a folder for user wavetable in the uvi/falcon document folder next to where user fx presets are stored.
Same thing for pluck excitation samples

We're getting closer. Putting the Architecture folder in that location works as far as seeing the sub-folders, but the wavetables aren't showing unless I change their extensions to .preset. However, when I do that, they still don't load. If I drag each wavetable into the oscillator one at a time and then save each as a preset, they do work just fine. I think for now I'll just use Simon's suggestion and put the Architecture folder in Places. As I use each wavetable, I'll save it as a preset.

I'd like to thank everyone for all their help with this, and I hope you all have a good holiday (whatever you may, or may not, be celebrating).
