I went around to all the book stores in my area here but they don't carry computer music.

I called around and finally found a store which
carries CM so I told thenm to hold the current
issue for me when they recieve it . It has arrived
but one question.

This place is way out of my way and the only reason I'm going there is to pick up this mag.
I must take a train for an hour then taxi. The buses are almost none existant here.Anyway the
whole trip will probably take a good part of the
day.

You guy's using this do you think it's worth the
long trip?

How does it sound ?
What kind of instruments are included ?

My setup :

Cubase & fruity
dr008
sampletank and sonic
fm7
pro52

I'm not sure if it's worth it yet, but it is now available for purchase from the CM website, so if you have a credit card you can just order on-line. Plus since you're not in Europe the current issue at the bookstore, may not be issue 50 with the DS404. Like in the states Issue 49 is the CURRENT issue, so if you do take the trip, I'd definately try and have it confirmed that it's issue 50 in the store you're going to just to be safe. Anyway I ordered my copy of CM50 today, and I'm really hoping it's worth it. C'mon folks write up some KVR reviews, talk about the functionality and sounds, etc.

Yes it's the current issue. I'm about to step out the door for my journey. I just looked outside and I think a typhoon is coming. This better be
worth it.

I guess I'm just addicted to these vsti's. I need
to get my fix.

I will give my report on this thing when I check it out.

It feels like the old days going miles in a snowstorm for some new sounds for my Akai s612.

Should I Should I not.......

What the hell

For whatever it's worth:
I am in germany and our train station's press shops usually get sorted pretty fast when it comes to international press (including CM).
Anyways, when I asked a few hours ago, the lady at the counter (not a nice lady, btw, so at least to a certain amount you've allready been luckier than me, Mush...) was telling me that CM #50 will arrive at the 22nd, not any earlier.

Apart from that, I was allready wondering why CM is released that early - I mean, #50 is the september issue, releasing it at the beginning of august somewhat renders the purpose of monthly dates useless.
I remember that years ago mags have been released like 5-6 days before the beginning of a month, now they are released almost one month early.
If that pattern continues we'll get the March 2064 issue in Novemer 2042...

Cheers,
Sascha
(Btw, german "KEYS" and "Keyboards" have been released remarkably early this month as well - maybe to be the first with their "Apple eats Emagic" stories)

Post

...Its cause we run 13 issues a year y'see... so monthly dates kinda catch up, and eventually overtake themselves. We run a "summer" issue to keep up but until then it all goes a bit skew-whiff.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Cheers
