This is a poll to see what sample formats you would like to see Sonic Reality sample libraries in for future development... or just a chance to show what sampler(s) formats you like to get sounds in generally.

If you have more than one or something not on the list then post it.

Thanks.

Perhaps. Addled muppet weed sounds like it could be serious. ;)

It reads SoundFont 2. But, perhaps support in its native format would be appreciated. Good suggestion.

i went for sf2 given the choices :D
as its what i use really,or ds404 from cm bu i doubt your gonna add that

I voted for Kontakt. In SR's hands the modulation capabilities of Kontakt would really shine

I would of course hope that SR continues to produce ST format libraries as well as expansions to ST2 and SS2 :)

Third choice .. Halion

I would add DS404. I like Muon and of course CM... and Scot Solida is a friend of mine. But, the poll would only let me put so many choices.

Go ahead and add anything not in the list into your post. I like to do these threads every once in a while. Usually we do this in our company forum but since there is now a sample forum here (finally) it is better to have it here in case it is interesting in general (not just relating to SR libraries).

So, while your vote was asked for by SR, you could also look at it as your choice for formats from any sound developer who cares to read the thread I guess. Just wanting to know what format people want their sounds in these days around here.

Thanks!

I have voted for SF2,because it has emerged as the Akai of the soft synth world.I'd like to see a Sonic Station type wavebank in SF2.This way,I can use the same library in all my samplers that read that format,VSampler,NNXT,and EmulatorX to come, and use their unique voice architectures to create presets to my own needs and tastes.

Otherwise,I am satisfied with SR's own preset creation for SampleTank and NNXT.However, the need for other native formats might best be addressed by additions to the UFO as bundled with the capsules(or is that what you're talking about?).I would like to see VSampler and Emulator X added in that case,I don't remember if UFO outputs NNXT.If not,I wish it would.

On the other hand,if UFO output SF2,all I have asked for would be achieved anyway.

Reason NNXT and SampleTank 2 interest me most.

Thanks for taking out HighLife

I voted soundfont, because I do not have Sampletank yet. Will probably get it after the group buy.

Almost all samplers can read soundfonts.

Post

I voted sfz because it's extremely descriptive...

I'd have voted sf2 if sfz hadn't been listed.

I've gone for Kontakt which appears to be in the lead at the moment. SR..aren't you the ppl promising the Sonic Synth2 with the analogue oldies library? If so I'd be very interested in just that for Kontakt..you have some wonderful gear shown on the website. btw if you ever run out of garage space I'm sure I could help out :)

I voted Kontakt too.

I was also thinking of converting the Sonic Synth libraries when I get them to Kontakt format anyway using Extreme Sample convertor - is that allowed? It might mean I don't need to get the Sampletank engine installed at all if I can (I'm always wary of installing more software than the bare minimum I need).
