all good now , tx for quick fixGeorge wrote:1.0.1 ready!
Download at http://www.discodsp.com/bliss and http://www.discodsp.com/members/ for registered customers. Cheers!
- Fixed problem with 1.0.0 still remembering for beta expiration.
- Fixed wave window redraw when deleting zones from the sample editor.
- Fixed drawing of wheels by making the handle more visible.
- Fixed avoid loading plugins with no MIDI inputs in plugin host.
- Fixed high CPU usage with wave redraw in Mac OS X with HiDPI displays.
- Fixed alert windows controls dimensions now respect global GUI scale factor.
- Fixed installer overwriting settings.xml.
- Changed sanity check metadata in wave files when wrong note/velocity ranges are specified.
- Changed avoid using program name and slot in SFZ sample export (use only zone name and append numbers when already existing).

good looks so far on this release, thanks George.
couple notes on this release:
in the editor, "+" shortcut for "zoom" doesn't seem to work. "-" works fine. haven't tested in other hosts to make sure that this isn't a REAPER thing, so that's possible. IMO, ideally, mousewheel would do horizontal (time) zoom rather than hotkeys (as is standard in most worthwhile DAWs)
using a macro to change the loop type behaves better now, but the parameter GUI element is not updated when changed from macro
i can't quite figure out what "offset" does in the macro param set. i have it assigned to a CC but it doesn't seem to do anything.
another question, what is a "Static" loop?
Bliss is getting some nice polish here, thanks for all your work.

also, i just loaded and made some significant edits to one of the downloadable patches for bliss
i went to save the changes i've made but all of the "Save bank/program" options are grayed out...
FR, possibly an impossible one. i want to use Bliss a lot for shifting loop points for glitching loop-length changes as a sample plays. doing this in Bliss causes some intermittent audible clicking, from what MAY be nonzero crosspoint pops. this might be inevitable, but it'd be sweet if it could be prevented with (optional?) crossfades (on all loop modes, as this even happens in the crossfade loop mode). this is difficult to communicate without audio examples, which can be provided if you'd like (or duplicated on your end by changing loop points while playing a sample).
continuing my lengthy observations: i've noticed that "load program" and "load bank" behave differently. the latter remembers your last bank's root folder, but the former does not, and defaults to C:\Users\****\Documents\discoDSP\Bliss, edit, or at least on first load, as subsequent attempts result in good path-remembrance. more complex than initial report, it appears.
i went ahead and dropped a shortcut to my real Blissbank folder, located on another drive, but it'd be great if "load program" could remember your last load.
oops, just got a crash while loading one program from another, bliss/reaper x64. duplicated just now. this only appears to happen after i've assigned macros, and then learned them to REAPER. will continue to test and report back. nothign appears in the logs that i can see.

It's the + on the numeric keyboard not "Shift and =" on the main keyboard (but both should work, imo)nym wrote:in the editor, "+" shortcut for "zoom" doesn't seem to work. "-" works fine. haven't tested in other hosts to make sure that this isn't a REAPER thing, so that's possible.
try Shift+mousewheel (I've asked George to add these both to the User Guide).nym wrote:IMO, ideally, mousewheel would do horizontal (time) zoom rather than hotkeys (as is standard in most worthwhile DAWs)

Those programs are protected, aren't they?

The devs cannot reproduce this problem, so I'll ask here:
I sampled a VSTi and it played back as expected. I tried to Export a Zone to wav, typed "bb" in to the dialogue window (as the folder name) and the process stopped responding. The last log entry was:
"Bliss> Plugin: Exporting 16bits WAV file files to R:\Multisample Libraries\bb..."
and the Windows 7 crash log showed an Application Hang.
I was able to save the sampled samples as a Bliss program into the same folder.
Has anyone-else tried this feature?

It's not intended to be bypassed, as they are exclusive to the tool, but alternatively you could load Bliss into Bliss and sample the program.

not at my machine right now...are all programs protected like this, or just these stock programs?
I'd love the ability to be able to edit and save different versions of any program without having to resample it, if this protection is arbitrary

Most if not all from Bliss Sample Library are protected.

Is is possible to adjust the sample start point?
I've adjusted the end point with the sliding marker "2". However the start point slider "1" doesn't do anything at all?
Is this something I'm doing wrong or a bug?

Yes quite right, I'm referring to S and E markers not a 1 and 2.George wrote:Yes, moving the S markets. I don't get the 1 and 2 thing.Mushy Mushy wrote:Is is possible to adjust the sample start point?
However, I still can't get it to work.
I set the loop type to STAT, move the S and E markers but only the E has any effect.

I can't reproduce the issue here. Could you send the sample to bliss@discodsp.com ? Thanks.
