That is a very good way of putting it because that is what it is. I'm sure they will get it right, one day, eventually. I got a feeling it won't be until they roll out the full revised version (that they are apparently working very hard on in the background). The one with user waves and granular will show up one day and it will all be right as rain, until then there is a large amount of frustration swelling from the ground up. I'm getting tired of being tossed around. I would have been fine with the old version until they had a real working version of the new one to present. I would have even been very understanding with a few kinks in the first released that got quickly ironed out...that would have been no biggie. They have to keep the hype train rolling I guess though and play "the game." I'm just getting very frustrated right now and feel like I'm being toyed with.aMUSEd wrote:This has got to be one of the most poorly managed updates ever.

I think so too. The updates definitely were pretty rushed, but then, considering the pushing on FB, no wonder.Dasheesh wrote: I'm sure they will get it right, one day, eventually.

I don't keep up with Facebook but all I want to do is sit in a dark room and play my instrument. Seems like I should be able to do that. I pay for the privilege. Yet another example of copy protection hurting the legit user as well. I could be using the old version right now.

Why didn't it work for you though? Did it refuse to accept your license file? (i mean the old version of Spire)

yeah, after I installed the new version, then ripped it all out and installed the old version, the old version no longer accepted my license file anymore... as stated.

it crashes Studio 1 every time, I wrote them but they said they can't replicate it. So I'm screwed. worked perfect before the update.

I know. It physically won't pick it up, it's just greyed out. Whatever's, I'm not going to dwell on it any longer. It's putting me in a bad mood. I got other things to play with for a little while.

It crashes Plogue bidule relentlessly and the gui just freezes in reaper on half the presets. They HAVE to know about it. It's very random behavior though. It responds differently over time and differently every time I try to reinstall. It's just very unstable and they know about it. They HAVE to. I gotta go do something else. This is too much whining for me.

I actually experienced increased stability after the 1.1.1 update. I'm on Logic Pro X, OSX 10.9.4 something on an old MBP. Before 1.1.1 it literally crashed like every 10 minutes, seemed like the later factory banks like 5 and 6 always crashed it right away as well. But now it actually havent crashed yet. Btw, before 1.1.1 I had some rare really loud banging noise that keeps sounding for a pretty long time (Sound a bit like a distorted spring reverb), like so loud I had to throw the headphones away instantly, not sure if it was only in the demo version (thought it had something to do with the demo noise) though but still, thats pretty bad since it can hurt the ears.

it's midi controllers. I started up a software sequencer to do some more testing (something I never use) and it worked fine and stable. I thought it could just be the midi keyboard I was using so I plugged in a different midi controller keyboard and it behaved the same way. It's some kind of midi feedback problem I believe. It behaves that way anyway. If you are just pumping out preset edm with a sequencer play button it works fine and you will miss it. As soon as you plug a keyboard in and try to play the thing it gets a mind of it's own.
