Hi Fellow SpaceHeads

In Honor of the Perseids Meteors and in Respect to a few folks around here, like Tim of M42 Fame (Great Patches Man :-)) and Vurt and Spaceman and Scot Solida and Mystahr and Normal and all others who like synth electronic spacey ambient music, I have put together this week, a 6 pack+ (6 songs plus a Bonus track ..heh) of SpaceTunes i wrote to listen to when I go out Telescoping. (I Plug in a small cd player and Trip Out .... A Few of your guys tunes are on a cd for this purpose)

Inspired By Tims M42 patches and Reaktor and Albino and Tweaking.

I am on 56k so i will upload as quick as possible and update the Links here as i do. (edit ... they are now all up .... A Full Manytone Space Cd available for Download for use in your Trippy adventures) ..ahem ...Get it before a Meteor Hit us .... LOL

It is that time of the year again.
On the evening of Aug 11th into the morning of Aug 12th, The Perseids will fly.
Some years they are incredible .... The last few have been a bit slow but there still will be many a cool meteor to see. Most leave a cool Green Vapor Trail. A few years back we saw Hundreds over a few Hours. Most are short Blasts of Light and Vapor but one of them went from one horizon to the other ... Across the whole sky and it was so Bright.....
I await patiently to see another like that!!


Best viewed with the Naked eye in dark skies, usually after midnite but you can start watching as soon as it gets dark.

If you have a Camera that allows you to keep the Lens open for an extended period of time.... Put it on a Tripod and point it up .... Leave the Lens open for a while .... anywhere from 30 secs to 5 minutes or more ...just play around with exposure times. The North Star is a cool place to point for this or toward Perseus.

And If you get a Good Pic ...... I need one for this CD cover .... so Let me Know!!!! i will put the cover up here for you guys to Download once done (after the meteors)... Hopefully someone somewhere will have clear skies to get something.

And Remember ...start looking up now.... they peak on the 11th - 12th but they go for a week or so either way.


Hope you Enjoy my Telescoping Space Mix ... It is Best enjoyed if you remix with each song Fading into the next so it is like 1 long song. Speed is automatically matched to Meteors ...heheh ..and ...really ...I am a Guitarist who makes rockish type hippie music in the real world. I think.

number 1-a very nice piece for this time of night(2am)not long got up either so really in the frame of mind for the rest now.
considering in your own words this isnt really your thing,i have to be honest and say you should do more 8)

dunno if you have any guitar to midi progs?i use guitar synth by lateral soft(altho i bought a yamaha ezag today[and also on topic here i feel a national geographic projection planetarium 8) ])
anyway guitar synth by lateral soft i use to control stuff like M42 and such sometimes,you know long "i wish they sounded like frip" bits,but when i get the midi file and put it into a synth i can play around with all that but i just find its a good way for guitarist to get a more natural feel into the sequencer,not that im a good guitarist mind :oops:
bloody fat fingers me :-o

also i use it on drums which on slides and stuff can get some weird effects with percussion :D

4 man i wish i was telescoping with you,this is a damn fine bunch of tracks mate,obviously in my opinion each one is a bit short,but you know me :oops: this one really has the coldness of space in it doesnt it.very cool atmospheres 8)



dunno if you saw this? but im just wondering if it would be possible to use your pieces for this purpose. :oops: im almost at the 3 hours stage to be honest but am more than happy to sacrifice a couple of my pieces for these,as they are quality man 8) and it is for the kiddies :D

5 reminds me of some of normals work at the intro 8)
its that scratchy eerie sound i mean.altho this is the least "spacey"so far,in so far as its more dubby i mean space dub i guess :D very nice piece of work here,now hurry up with 6 :P

I really enjoy sitting and Playing VSTi Synths and I think that shows here. Any style ... all styles ..

like i said i picked up the EZAG today,havent had much time to get really into and used to usin it,but was havin a good play with orions screamer using it earlier 8)

A journy through the history of a meteor shower, nice idea. Listened to 1 and 2. downloading the rest now.
#1 was a nice way to intro this series, very mysterious, not knowing what is out there, very effective that way for me. #2 made me have the feeling of dicovery, very nicely done.

Will listen to the rest and check back tomorrow. 8)
