I did not report this to support. It's a known issue that came up soon after ST3 was released. I even saw a post on the IK forum about this when I started investigating this issue. I have just learned to live with it. Even though I have the full version of ST3 with all the sounds, I mostly use ST3 to load the older ST2 sounds (those load relatively fast) but I am pretty much staying away from a lot of the new larger ST3 sounds and separate libraries. A shame really as I love IK products...

Must I install Miroslav 2 into my Sampletank 3 folder? That SSD is out of space and I have another SSD with free space on it.

Yes, as I understand it MP2 is installed as sub-folders in the ST3 library. Move the ST3 library to the other SSD first (and browse to it in the ST3 Settings)?

Re: the loading times
Isn't that because the complete ST3 instrument is loaded fully into memory, rather than, for example, DFD-mode in Kontakt?

Ok I will have to make room (I had 63gb on one, and 35gb on other free...now I am down to 18gb (where Miroslave is) and 35gb (where Sampletank 3 is). Might have to maneuver something else to make room.
One other question...when loading some of the multis I get missing instruments (all in the Woodwinds section) yet all of the individual presets appear to be present (will have to check for samples missing). I don't THINK I skipped any installation files. Fixed...Disk 14.

I wouldn't quite say that, but the old ones are a lot more expressive-sounding and it's definitely nice to have both.erikgyle wrote:It is quite awesome! Loving that the old Phil1 instruments haven't just been left alone, but have now been endowed with keyswitching as well (The old English Horn kick's the new one's bell).
Also, we get a total of three harpsichords now. The new one is over 2 GB and has several variations. Somebody loves harpsichords.

Are there any ''strong'' reviews out there (videos or Text...) . I was not able to get one or maybe i missed it. I know the product is new, will keep an eye open.

I'm going to write a review for BPB. There are a lot of sounds there, though, so it's not easy to review quickly.

For anyone interested, I'm offloading my Upgrade to MP2 in the Marketplace. Here's your chance to get it for a good price.
I haven't had time to really get into this library, so I can't give a personal review of it. I simply overextended myself this holiday season and need to earn a little cash back to make it to my next paycheck.

Wow, I sense some hostility. Is this how IK customers are treated for asking questions?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:1. I'll see if they might add more specifics to the sounds page.Bombadil wrote:How many sample layers? Round Robin?
Compressors for classical instruments? Really?
2. I know, really?? Nobody would use classical instruments for modern tracks or genres that might benefit from or include compression as part of the 'signature' of the sound! How silly of IK to do something so dumb!

I just installed MP 2.There is no Key switch patch for the english horn . I'm
hearing just a few notes. 2.0.1 is installed. I checked the zip files. The other instruments have a key switch patch. The english horn does not have a keyswitch patch.
