well, this is just a test ;) 'bout 8 minutes of a continous build/break/minimal jam using ableton live 4 - I grabbed some material from previous sampling sessions, and recorded some new material from the evolver, machinedrum and monomachine, and came up with this :D

enjoy! it's about 7 megs or so....

and be careful - theres a message in there :o :hihi:

something along the lines of - the wretch is gonna shake ya all night long

I dig the groove. I know it's a flex, but it needs something in it. Something high end, repetitive..

You're a hardware slut, I hate you :x

Post

oh yeah & you're busted on that Meat Beat kick on the last few minutes, buddy!

and you're busted - there's one little harmless jungle loop in there being mangled, but all other drum sounds are me with the machinedrum - homegrown programming too :P that's all that's left towards the end ;)

hardware slut? yep. :hihi:

this is trial number 5 or so of the soon to be monster set of The Wretch - sometime in the next few months I'll have a full hour mix ready to take to the streets of NYC :hyper:

I liked that grove too!
Kinda reminds me of an old devo jambreak.

Michael`s the only guy I know that buys a powerful G5 and ends up with 6bit wide productions.hehehe

It`s all good
....................Don`t blame me for 'The Roots', I just live here. :x

hehe - yeah, it is all good :D

don't you worry though - I make the shiny metal box work overtime - I've officially pegged the meters a few times on the CPU now :D All on other tracks than the wretch though - got some other projects going now that see close to 80-90% usage

Post

I put two projects together into one last week and was slipping in and out of 80%.
At that kinda cpu workload...I think I noticed some kind of "thining "of the sound...was strange...can`t really decribe it.No glitches happened...just the sound quality. :?

yep - not sure how much I'm gonna work this one over, the goal is to get the live set 100% ready, then I'll do some dry runs and maybe post an mp3 of it for feedback :D
