I did a clean install of windows XP home and now XP can't see my three internal hard-drive.

Xp also doesn;t three one of y partitions on my second hard-drive.

I`ll take a guess and say it maybe how your BIOS is setup.

Hi,

Could you be a bit more specific?

IE, XP is installed on Drive 1, Drive 1 has X partitions, I can see _ partitions.

BIOS is probably not the cause as most bios's these days are autodetect in that area anyway.

Another problem is if your hard drives are >137 Gb;XP without SP1 installed may not recognize them until after SP1's installed.
If the >137 Gb theory applies to you;if you're using an Intel chipset,download the Intel Application Accelerator from the Intel site.Your CDs that came with your hard drives(presuming you bought them separately)should also have a config utility for helping Windows recognize them.
BTW,most drive manufacturers recommend using their format tools and NOT Windows' own...
Also,make sure your jumpers are correct-that the drive on the master end of the cable IS configured as master with the jumper(or have them all set as cable select...).

I just needed to install some drivers that came with my moterhboard. Turns out the three drive was set up to use a Raid controller, but I didn't have the driver intalled.

all is fine now
