So is this thing actually great or not?

Anyone compare it to other kick generators like Image-Line Bassdrum, Synapse EKS, that Plugin Boutique one (Kick?), Vengeance Sounds' one, etc? I don't know or care about Nicky Romero but kick synthesis is more fun than browsing samples.

It is ok, nothing spectacular at this point, also a hell of a lot of the controls are missing from automation, just feels a little half cut right now, there are much better drum synths around.

The vengeance kick drum synth is the best kick drum plugin out there atm imo. Take a look at the videos that vengeance have uploaded on youtube if you want an in depth look at it.

There are probably others, but right now off hand these are all way way better than SAK
Hopefully v2 is a bit more useful and has all its controls automatable in host
