One of a kind human being. "Heroes " is my favourite song.

This took me off guard because he just released a strong, new album. I didn't realize it would be the final chapter. :(
Bringing me to "...and there's nothing I can do" which I expect is what is accepted by the terminal patient.
....................Don`t blame me for 'The Roots', I just live here. :x

Goodbye David, and thanks for all the riveting moments. You were truly unique, and your inexhaustible willingness to embrace change is and will continue to be an inspiration. Somehow hard to believe that you will RIP, even now.

PS I forgive you for "Dancing in the Street" and "Never let me down".

Rest in peace, David Bowie.

Maybe I should finally listen to his music now...
My solo projects:

He meant a lot to many, many people and not just for his music. This is one of those 'The day the music died' days. I guess we are slowing coming to the end of an era. A very sad day for music lovers.
I was listening to Blackstar and thinking how great it was that somebody has the creative freedom to go where he has gone... I When think of all the musicians now departed he will be one if the most missed. RIP

He was a hero. And not just for one day.

This is what I have been thinking on the past year. It is inevitable that soon the greatest generation of musicians, those who started at the second half of the 60's and the first half of the 70's, is coming to an end. These are the people who have costantly revolutionized the music, pushing it to new directions and level. And many of them have managed to constantly reinvent themselves. Many of those musicians are still the most creative, most original and technically masterly even today.

I saw the news today, oh boy!

I just got Blackstar this weekend and listened to it on the way to work this morning, now I see this.
Bowie was a truly unique creative individual who seemed to learn from his mistakes.
IMO the sexiest man ever as well.
A true shape-shifter, one of the very few pop stars to put at least as much energy into his music as his remarkable image.

I don't think i could possibly say anything today that does the man justice, an absolute legend and a huge inspiration. Such a great artist with such a diverse body of work, i couldn't pick a favourite period if i tried. I'm listening to the new album now and he certainly has gone out on a high. RIP Bowie.

Goodbye, David Bowie!

I would have to call myself a second or third generation fan

When I first started to listening to music in '83 Cat People, Let's Dance and China Girl where huge hits, so I ended up putting Tonight at the top of my wish list for x-mas '84 :D

At that time I didn't realize how many albums he had made before that

You have done well David, now rest in peace
