Someone might want to inform Xavier that the StiX download page hasn't been updated to link to the 0.97 installer, despite mentioning it as the latest version.

yes the v0.97c had a major bug regarding StiX following real time tempo changes. So the release of v0.97 was postponed. v0.97d will be soon released as 'v 0.97'. I'll list the changes when it will be officially published.

All StiX versions have been updated ( Demo, Full ) to V0.97d

V 0.97D Changes

Added function and features

 UI Mixer : Per channel Vumeter + clipper. Vumeter becomes red when clipper is engaged. Allows to quickly balance sounds.
 Continuous Tempo change follower (continuoulsy udpated) (Per user request)

GUI/UI changes

 GUI : Sequencer size increased
 GUI : Vents size (left/right of sequencer area) decreased
 GUI : Drumpads and Drumkit area reworked
 GUI :Advanced Synthesis panel updated. Parameters and knobs reorganised
 GUI : Eazy Synthesis Panel Updated ( Still a lot of work to do, but closer )
 GUI : Definitive Effects On/OFF buttons
 GUI : Unit and companies logo added
 GUI : Some Zones Backgrounds changed for a better visual feedback and GUI sharpness(WIP)

Fixes :

 Velocity issue when playing drums with Midi Keyboard fixed
 Step Modulators offsets no longer affecting drum sounds when they are played from a Midi keyboard
 Song Mode now working properly
 Exported parameters for automation changed

Fabulous, thank you ! Got some nice cymbal crashes in this version too since the last beta I tried

p.s. Don't know if this is any help but the grammar of the installer is a little odd (guessing as a result of the language translation)

Instead of: Select the folders in which the plugIn 32 bits, and its settings files should be installed , then click Next.

It should probably be: Select the folders in which the 32 bit plugin and setting files should be installed, then click Next.

Instead of: Select the folders in which the plugIn 64 bits should be installed , then click Next.

It should probably be: Select the folder in which the 64 bit plugin should be installed, then click Next.

Latest beta won't instantiate in Logic Pro 9. I just get a spinning beach ball. It doesn't crash. It just freezes. I have to force quit Logic.

I'm unable to download the previous installer from the XILS website. It says the page is not found. Could you have someone fix that, please? Thanks.

EDIT: Okay, so I was able to download the older version just by entering the link manually. The page is still down. The .96 version loads correctly. The .97 beta still does not.

Nice, I much prefer Cymbal Crashes to .... other crashes

For the installer, yes, it belongs to the category of things we dont see anymore, after having installed nearly 100 StiX beta versions, I confess I just dont read them anymore. Thanks for the more precise text.

Thanks for the report masterhiggins.

We can't replicate this atm, but we're making more tests, so could you briefly indicate what version do you use ( Full, Demo limited feature, demo time limited) and Logic and OS version ? You can also contact Xils support so that more precise questions can be answered in case we still cannot replicate the crash.

And yes, it's important people note that you can always revert to an older version by installing it and overwrite the current one with problems That's why I always keep the latest valid installer on my HDs.

I like the Smart Random and wild random but could we also have it per drumpad if you just want to for example only want to do it on the snare?

It needs looking at some more - the iLok version installer asks for the location of the 32Bit Syn-X internal folder

Is there any way to bypass this screen by the way - I de-selected the 32Bit plugin (as I'm on Live 64Bit) so why does it still ask for the location ?

On a more positive note - the new beta GUI is much improved - less cramped and simply more 'professional' - looking forward to the final release version

I think that's because the first screen is where the actual application is installed, then the second is where the 64bit VST is installed
