English Horn Cloud
An english horn phrase from my composition Immanenz - processed with MTransform and other things, only the shorter notes are selected, similar spectral selection in each oscillator (running in non-retrigger mode) with an offset in the second so the textures overlap. The Modwheel adds random pitch modulation, Macros 1/2 (x/y) are dedicated volume controls for each oscillator. Please check the Macro page for FX and filter controls.

Euphonium Monster Split
A heavily processed euphonium drone in the lower register (layered: S1 Radius RT-mode / S2 non-retrigger mode) and a sffz-swell in S3 in the upper register, overlapping split point is C4 (C5 in Iris). The Modwheel decreases LP filter cutoff, adds filter resonance and distortion - use it for wahwah like effects. Macro 3 adds a flutter-tongue like modulation to the upper sound, M4 adds tempo-synced pulsation to S-1/2.
Harp Wind Split
Spectrally re-synthesized and processed harp bisbigliandos, all 3 oscillators use the same long harp scape, S1 (in non-retrigger mode) having a very dotted and sparse selection, layered with S2 (in Radius RT-mode) which features the higher frequency ranges. S3 in the lower half plays in reverse/forward mode and is mapped up to C3 (C4 in Iris), S2 reaches down to C2 (C3) so there is overlapping octave. S1 play over the entire keyboard range. The Modwheel adds tempo-synced amplitude modulation to S2/3 and slow pitch modulation to S1. Macros 3/4 are dedicated volume controls for S1/2. The FX section runs in Send-mode, control Phaser-send with M1 (x), shift HP cutoff with M2 (post FX send), control delay time with M5.
Morphing Monks Split
Temple-monks I recorded in a Taipei temple during a puja (they were singing through SM57 mics into a crappy guitar amp) audio-morphed with a Zebra drone from my soundset 2nd Thoughts and then processed with an array of things. S1 in the lower register - C0 - C3 (C1 - C4 in Iris) and S2/3 layered from C#3 upwards (C#4). The Modwheel decreases LP filter cutoff and adds distortion. Add tempo-synced pan modulation to S1 with Macro 5, M3/4 introduce tempo-synced amplitude modulation in S2/3. Check the Macro page for FX controls.
Piano Cosmos Split
A cosmic drone derived from a piano arpeggio, all three oscillators use the same long soundscape. S1 plays between C0 - C3 (C1 - C4 in Iris), S2/3 are layered from C3 - C7 (C4 - C8), Macros 5/6 are dedicated volume controls for each sound. The Modwheel introduces square-shaped, tempo-synced pitch modulation (different LFO speed in each osc). Please check the Macro page for FX and filter controls.
Poly Pulses
A massive Zebra drone processed with various things, all three oscillators are running in non-retrigger mode and use the same long drone sample. Resonances Split
Split comb-filter drones sampled at different root notes. S1/2 are layered from C0 - F2 (C1 - F4 in Iris) - with S2 playing the entire frequency range of the sample, use Macro 3 for volume control - S3 plays from F2 to C6 (F3 - C7). Galactic soundscape, all three oscillators are use the same long soundscape sample each highlighting different spectral aspects. Train Scape
A processed field recording captured in a Russian train all three oscillators are use the same long soundscape sample each highlighting different spectral aspects. S3 is mapped from C0 - C3 (C1 - C4 in Iris), S 1/2 are layered between C3 - C6 (C4 - C7). All oscillators are running in non-retrigger mode. The Modwheel introduces noise/random-shaped pitch modulation in S1/2 and tempo-synced, square-shaped pitch modulation in S3. Decrease filter cutoff with M2 (y), add filter synced filter modulation with M1 (x).

Flexatone Solo Scape
Tremolating with 2 flexatones simultaneously, S1 plays a granulated version in non-retrigger mode, S2 the unprocessed texture in Radius-RT mode, use Macros 3/4 to balance the sounds. Modwheel decreases LP cutoff, increases filter resonance and adds some tube distortion. M5 introduces pan modulation with slightly different LFO speeds for each oscillator. Subscription set no. 65 is around the corner, here are two demos. This time I am immediately converting some of the patches for Iris 2, the video below show the Iris 2-version of the patch Vox Eterna, making use of an additional synth drone in the 4th oscillator. There is of course also an Iris 1-version of that patch.

MW adds noise-shaped pitch modulation in S1 and a fast sine/square-shaped modulation in S2/3. Please check the Macro page for FX/filter controls.
Air Over Earth
In the lower half there is a warm big drone in S2 with some slowly moving harmonics, in the upper half oscillators 1/3 layer the same long, airy vocal-ish soundscape, with S3 having it’s root note shifted up a fourth, all oscillators run in non-retrigger mode. Control the volume of S3 with Macro 3. MW introduces tempo-synced amplitude modulation in all oscillators (2 vs 3), M1/2 (x/y) control LP filter cutoff/amount of tempo-synced filter modulation. M4-6 control amount of delay/phasing/tube-distortion, M7 controls release time in all oscillators.
In the Iris 2 version. AT introduces vibrato (via LFO 4).
Christmas Monument Split
Big evolving chord scape made by layering numerous of my various synth patches, all three oscillators use the same long sample, S2 playing a segment with the full frequency range. S2/3 are layered in the upper half, overlapping split point is located at C3 (C4 in Iris). MW adds a mixture of aliasing distortion and chorus FX, Macro 4 adds pan modulation to S3, M5 controls LP filter cutoff, M6 introduces tempo-synced amplitude modulation in S6. M1/2 control delay FX amount/time/feedback, M3 controls amount of reverb FX.

MW adds tempo-synced, triplet based, square-shaped pitch modulation to S1/2 (+/- 1 octave with the wheel fully engaged( and adds tempo-synced amplitude modulation to the drone in S2. The Menace Split
In the lower register two segments of the same crusherX-ed drone sounds are layered, in the upper register there is a strange gurgling vocal stranger. Macros 3/4 control the individual volume levels of the lower layer. MW introduces fast random pitch modulation in S1/3. Vocal Rain XFade Split
Tonal, slightly beautiful vocal-ish soundscape with raining spectral drops, all tree oscillators use the same long soundscape, S1/3 being layered above C3 (use Macros 1/2 to balance the sounds), S1 reaching down to C2, S1 playing from C3 downwards. MW introduces pitch modulation in S1/2 (noise-shaped/square), Macro 7 introduces tempo-synced pan modulation in S3. Please check the Macro page for FX/filter controls.
In the Iris 2-version, MW also introduces noise-shape pitch modulation to S3 and M7 also introduces pan-modulation in S1/2.
Vox Eterna
A rich/lush evolving vocal soundscape with bells using a major ^7/9 chord, split across the keyboard, split point C3 (C4 in Iris(. In the upper register a processed french horn tail enhances the root note, control it’s volume with Macro 3. MW decreases LFO filter cutoff and adds some tube distortion, M1 adds delay FX, M2 introduces tempo-synced amplitude modulation. M4/5 control amount of chorus FX/chorus speed.
In the Iris 2 version S4 adds another synth drone sound to enhance the root note of the lower register, use M6 for volume control. Due to certain limitations in Iris 2, some modulations were changed from amplitude to pan.

The FX-section runs in Send-mode, MW controls distortion-send, Macros 1/2 controls delay/reverb send, M3 introduces pitch modulation, M4 controls LP filter cutoff (pre FX send), M5 controls release time.
Flutified Split
A time-stretched repeating flute arpeggio audio-morphed with a synth-chord/drone, the same sample is used in all three oscillators, S2/3 layering the lower frequency ranges in the lower register (use Macros 3/4 for volume balance), S1 highlighting the brighter frequencies - overlapping split point: C3 (C4 in Iris). MW adds tempo-synced, triplet based, square-shaped pitch modulation to S1/2 (+/- 1 octave with the wheel fully engaged( and adds tempo-synced amplitude modulation to the drone in S2. Macros 1/2 (x/y) control LP filter cutoff/amount of filter modulation. Please check the Macro page for FX/filter controls.
The Menace Split
In the lower register two segments of the same crusherX-ed drone sounds are layered, in the upper register there is a strange gurgling vocal stranger. Macros 3/4 control the individual volume levels of the lower layer. MW introduces fast random pitch modulation in S1/3. Please check the Macro page for FX/filter controls, S2/3 are running in non-retrigger mode.
Vocal Rain XFade Split
Tonal, slightly beautiful vocal-ish soundscape with raining spectral drops, all tree oscillators use the same long soundscape, S1/3 being layered above C3 (use Macros 1/2 to balance the sounds), S1 reaching down to C2, S1 playing from C3 downwards. MW introduces pitch modulation in S1/2 (noise-shaped/square), Macro 7 introduces tempo-synced pan modulation in S3. Please check the Macro page for FX/filter controls.
In the Iris 2-version, MW also introduces noise-shape pitch modulation to S3 and M7 also introduces pan-modulation in S1/2.
Vox Eterna
A rich/lush evolving vocal soundscape with bells using a major ^7/9 chord, split across the keyboard, split point C3 (C4 in Iris(. In the upper register a processed french horn tail enhances the root note, control it’s volume with Macro 3. MW decreases LFO filter cutoff and adds some tube distortion, M1 adds delay FX, M2 introduces tempo-synced amplitude modulation. M4/5 control amount of chorus FX/chorus speed.
In the Iris 2 version S4 adds another synth drone sound to enhance the root note of the lower register, use M6 for volume control. Due to certain limitations in Iris 2, some modulations were changed from amplitude to pan.

The subscription now contains 522 Iris 1-patches and 124 Iris 2-patches - including 11.74 GB of samples, roundabout 3 GB come with the Iris 2-patches.

Another converted Iris 2 patch, derived from/made with a celtic harp flageolet texture.
Harp Delusion
The sample of a sequence with flageolet notes played on the celtic harp I sampled for my MachFive 3 library Scattered Entity is used in all 3 oscillators.
The modulation wheel adds aliased distortion, reduces the LP cutoff and also adds some chorus FX. Macros 1+2 control amount/time of delay FX, M3 adds reverb, M4 adds pitch modulation to S1+2, M5 adds pan modulation to S3.
In the Iris 2-version, Macro 6 introduces pan modulation in S2.

Puja Resynth Split
A field recording I made in a Taipei temple, Buddhist nuns singing and drumming - re-synthesized with Melodyne 4 and then time-stretched. Both oscillators use the same sample, highlighting different segments, running in non-retrigger mode overlapping split point: C3 (C4 in Iris). Macro 2 controls LP filter cutoff, dialing in M2 makes the cutoff velocity sensitive. Glide is activated. MW adds vibrato. Check the Macro page for filter and FX controls.
Spectral Flute Trill
Spectralized flute trill, both oscillators use the same long sample, S1 running in Radius RT-mode, S2 playing back and forth in non-retrigger mode, use Macro 3 for controlling the volume of S2, bipolar M4 tunes S2 down/up 1 octave (scaled in semitones). M5 adds pan modulation. M1/2 (x/y) control amount of delay/reverb FX, MW decreases filter cutoff, adds aliasing distortion and chorus FX.
Spectral Wanderer Split
Split in S1/2, running in non-retrigger mode is a complex spectral soundscape made by combining re-synthesis with audio-morphing, split point: C3. S3 playing over the entire range )C-1 -C7) adds a Photosounder texture, pitch tracking is switched off, add pitch modulation to S3 with Macro 6, control PM speed with M7, control it’s volume with M5. Tinkle Stars Split
Ethereal tinkle scape made with Melodyne 4, both oscillators use the same long soundscape, the sound in the upper half (S1) playing a very dotted selection running in Radius RT-mode, overlapping split point: C3 (C4 in Iris). MW adds tempo-synced pitch modulation - saw up-shaped in S1, square-shaped in S2. Tune S1 up an octave with Macro 2 (y). Check the Macro page for filter and FX controls.
Vocal Mayhem Morph Split
Lower half: S1 -> audio-morphing a female vocal texture with a Phonem sound from Phonemklatura - this sound is layered with a processed male overtone singing drone (S3) to enhance the root note of the tonality, both oscillators are running in non-retrigger mode. Control the drone volume with Macro 3, add tempo-synced amplitude modulation to S3 with M4, add noise-shaped pitch modulation to S1 with M6.
Upper half: a very dotted selection from the female vocal texture running in Radius RT-mode, add random pitch modulation with M5 - split point C3 (C4 in Iris). MW decreases LP filter cutoff and adds some distortion. Check the Macro page for filter and FX controls.
Vox Gong Morph Split
Lower half: layered in S1/2 with inverted spectral selections, running in non-retrigger mode is a Tuvan vocal drone audio-morphed with a processed Thai gong-texture, both oscillators use a slow LFO to modulate their volume at different speeds, creating an ever changing texture.
Upper half: the processed Thai gong texture which was used to morph the vocal drone playing in non-retrigger mode, MW adds tempo-synced amplitude modulation - overlapping split point: C4 (C5 in Iris).
