We have emulated his tone on that song, but you do know it is by the band Roxette though Prince may have written it (not sure). If you own Amplitube then you can be sure you can get that tone.By the way I will be offering some Prince presets as part of the 500 preset megapack on www.tonheaded.com

Prince wrote "The Look"?? Suddenly I don't feel ashamed for liking that tune.

ummm, no. The Roxette tune "The Look" is written by frontman Per Gessle. This topic deals with the song "U Got The Look" by Prince from his lovely Sign O The Times album, which is a completely different song altogether, altough it is from the same era.

Hrm. A Google of "Roxette Prince" has a fan-site for Roxette in which he indicates that Prince wrote the song. As far as that kind of thing goes, a fan site is hardly reliable information.
U Got That Look... after looking at the lyrics, I remember the song now. Great tune. Can't give any new info about the tone, though. Sorry.

You should be careful with Google ... as the old saying goes, search and ye shall find. If 99 Roxette sites says Per Gessle wrote the song and 1 says Prince wrote the song, your search will only find the last one.Lunch Money wrote:Hrm. this is a reliable source:

I think GreaseTube is obsolete, but the developer (Daniel) has a lot of similar plugs, I think TubeLimit is more or less the same thing.

But I think you'd be better off with some 'fuzz' type effect, rather than simple overdrive.

although he's funky, I always preferred the more pop side.

I'm not too fond of Prince's music, yet I have to admit the guy is f**king good. One thing doesn't mean the other, right?
BTW, are pop stars dead or what, after all?
Sorry, couldn't resist...!

Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.
