I think VSTHost has a Mac version, and it is free, 64-bit and 32-bit available I believe.
And it is a simple host, can host multiple plugins and chain them and is very useful for live applications as well.

Hosting AU is one of the more elegant I've run across so far and kind of reminds me of VST Chainer back in the day, but it's AU only:

Oh, and it's free.

Here is another offering, cost a couple bucks in the Apps store. Host AU and VST instruments and effects.
I never tried it though so can't further comment.

Another plug (pun intended) for Hosting AU: I use it here all the time, for everything from quickly loading a synth for sound design to authorizing new plugin installations. It's superb & the price can't be surpassed.

Agreed... I have this too, but a pain to use (so avoid).aMUSEd wrote:Very buggy and hasn't been updated for ages.Nocturnal909 wrote:Here is another offering, cost a couple bucks in the Apps store. Host AU and VST instruments and effects.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out
While searching I also found one called VST Shell which looks worth a look as well - http://www.kvraudio.com/product/vst-she ... -front-ear
