At first glance it looks very promising. Hope details will follow soon.
If it would be paraphonic it would be like a 2-VCO slimmed down Mono/Poly.

Actually not a "random guy" as he posted his own video on YouTube, clearly showing one in his possession, he also stated that he'd be in the Korg booth at NAMM demoing.whyterabbyt wrote:Yes, looks like one random guy said 'oh, its undoubtedly paraphonic' out of nowhere, and with no justification or evidence.tehlord wrote:Actually I recall seeing a post over at Gearslutz talking about it being paraphonic too, but to be honest I'm only skim reading anything over there
Clearly proof enough for some.

I pulled that from the fact that all the oscillators go through a single filter, as can clearly be heard as well as , and there wasn't a single sound, including the factory preset sounds, that demonstrated notes having a different filter cutoff each. Just a simple note with decaying filter envelope, followed by another note while the previous keeps playing, is the first thing those "synth gurus" would demonstrate in a new "analog polyphonic synth". Anyway, it's paraphonic, whatever.whyterabbyt wrote:And, I suspect like ED, I cant actually see anything to indicate that it is paraphonic by the commonly accepted definition, where did Shy pull that from?

So when it turns out it's not paraphonic, what will you do?

eXode: the only way it's "bad demoing" is if he activated a secret "go through a single filter on purpose" mode.

All I know is that I bought a bass station 2 a couple of weeks ago so the tears in my eyes might be obscuring the information I take in.

Ah. You think you heard something, so that makes it a fact.Shy wrote:I pulled that from the fact that all the oscillators go through a single filter, as can clearly be heardwhyterabbyt wrote:And, I suspect like ED, I cant actually see anything to indicate that it is paraphonic by the commonly accepted definition, where did Shy pull that from?

The fact that it's a fact makes it a fact. It's not my fault that you can't hear it's a single filter.whyterabbyt wrote:Ah. This look great...superb job Korg! They need to make sure they look after Tatsuya Takahashi.
Don't see anything leading me to believe it's any thing other than 2osc per voice and 4 voice poly...and doubling up the voices in a duo phonic mode.

What makes you think that's the guy who said it at Gearslutz?eXode wrote:Actually not a "random guy" as he posted his own video on YouTube, clearly showing one in his possession, he also stated that he'd be in the Korg booth at NAMM demoing.whyterabbyt wrote:Yes, looks like one random guy said 'oh, its undoubtedly paraphonic' out of nowhere, and with no justification or evidence.tehlord wrote:Actually I recall seeing a post over at Gearslutz talking about it being paraphonic too, but to be honest I'm only skim reading anything over there

And PluginGuru has recanted the paraphonic comment.

The fact that PluginGuru, who's a good enough authority for you to use when it suits you, has subsequently stated that its one filter per voice proves that when you say 'I hear one filter for all voices so it can only be paraphonic' what you're saying is not a fact.Shy wrote:The fact that it's a fact makes it a fact.
