Several companies (and Korg themselves in the past) just announce stuff at NAMM and have it ready like 3-6 months later.

So which of the 8 modes changes the whole per-voice and overall synth architectures to something that isnt shown on the diagram then?Shy wrote: OK, right, consider this a self-facepalm post.
Now let's just hear a polyphonic sound instead of paraphonic, which is what's been demo'd so far.

No idea, that's why it's so strange to me that the sounds so far only had one filter, including the chord parts. You can clearly hear that it's one filter when the resonance is very high, there is only one filter resonating.whyterabbyt wrote:So which of the 8 modes changes the voice architecture to something that isnt shown on the diagram then?Shy wrote: OK, right, consider this a self-facepalm post.

Of course, since keytracking was disabled, all 4 filters would sound as one. Especially if they are well-calibrated.

Ultimately, I don't care if it's paraphonic or polyphonic or whatever. The bottom line for me is that it sounds great and is a fantastic price. It's also great that these are apparently actually on their way to dealers... as opposed to making promises that they later cannot meet or have difficulty meeting. I can think of at least one manufacturer who falls into that category. I don't mean to sound crafty but some of you may know who I mean. It seems that Korg has their cookies together on this one!

Man, yes, that could very well explain it. One thing I'd never even considered is disabling tracking for chords, that's just crazy. And I just checked the video and it is always disabled, geez. Well, just waiting for a proper poly demo and I'll be happy. Sorry, I have no hat to eat in here.EvilDragon wrote:Of course, since keytracking was disabled, all 4 filters would sound as one. Funny, whenever I see that thread title in the forum post box on the right, I read Kylie Minogue
I think it is the K and MINilOGUE together that are playing a trick on my mind

That would explain them registering the name after Minilogue stopped recording.Mushy Mushy wrote:Korg have confirmed this was indeed named after the real Minilogue (aka Son Kite)

I look forward then to the arrival of the Korg Adele, Korg Ed Sheeran and Korg Sam Smith.
