Hopefully this might spur on some new features in Morph 2 given that Melda's version appears to be considerably cheaper and with seemly far more tweakable parameters, otherwise I'll probably regret picking this up earlier last year.....
Thanks for the cue! I had no idea... :hyper:

This could be a nasty battle between those 2 morphers. Espacially since Melda is known for his solid and constant updates.

That's the thing, not only are there frequent updates, they have a free-updates-for-life policy. If only I had waited :(

Can't you sell your Morph 2 license?

Post

Possibly, though it's iLok protected and registered to my account so I've no idea how I would be able to transfer it (if I even can). I'll stay optimistic though, hopefully the healthy competition will mean more developments of this application, been stuck at v2.0 for a while now !

Interesting:
Zynaptiq was founded by Denis H. Goekdag (CEO) and Stephan M. Bernsee (CTO) in 2011.

Denis Goekdag made "Deep Transformations" and "Deep Reconstructions" morph-fx-presets for Kore2.
Zynaptic also made Reaktor "Molekular" .. morph-fx.

That's totally .. xenomorph. :scared:

I was hoping the same too. But am thinking of selling.

any news on the update?

I'm excited to hear that morph will be getting a vst3 version some time. I find morph works a little bit better than the melda morpher for many types of sounds especially drum stuff.

Hey all,

MORPH 2.1.1 is out now! Took us a little longer as anticipated because some of our engineers have....erm...reproduced themselves rather than software issues ;-)

New in 2.1.1:
  • MIDI Learn functionality for all relevant controls, including options for non-linear response curves.
  • Tooltips can now be disabled.
  • Manual can now be opened directly from the GUI.
  • Manual now also contains setup guides for Fruity Loops and Bitwig.
  • Fixed a rare issue where CPU load would increase when plugin was active but idle.
  • Various under-the-hood optimisations.
The update can be downloaded from the MORPH Downloads Page

VST 3 is coming along nicely (v2.3) btw.

Cheers,
d

Thanks - did you return the NUKE support?

Yeah I did those :-) The discontinuation of Kore is part of what made me want to found my own software company. No more third parties deciding on whether or not stuff gets discontinued. I severely dislike discontinuations – if I get used to using a tool, I'll want to keep using it, full stop. This is one of the reasons we acquired Prosoniq; I've been using that stuff since forever and this way I can ensure that I can keep doing so.

FYI Stephan, the other half of the zynaptiq brains, has been doing audio morphing since the 90ies (sonicWORX Artist). He kinda pioneered the concept at the same time as the SSC guys. And he did the synthesis algorithms for the Hartmann Neuron morphing synth.

Which sort of explains why we're not banging out minor updates on a weekly basis like some other companies (mind you, if something actually doesn't work/is bugged, that typically get fixed within one day or less!) – we're focused on inventing stuff, which inherently takes way longer than doing your own take on an existing concept and then selling through low price. Which is generally a valid business strategy, but it's not ours. Our stuff is innovative, technologically state of the art, sounds awesome and as far as longevity is concerned...well, including Prosoniq times, MORPH has been around for longer than many software companies around here.

I'll concede higher output in terms of smaller updates would be awesome though :D We're getting there as we grow.

Best,
Denis

No, no solid insights into doability in that regard unfortunately :(

One thing that *may* be easier is to do a v2 of the Nuke4All app Stephan and I did about a decade ago IIRC...would that work for you too?

Oh yes please - I keep worrying it will stop working every time I upgrade my Mac

btw one thing that would really make it useful would be fast channel switching - maybe with the nuke button or one of the knobs?

Thank you very much for the update.

Congratulations and i wish your offspring all the best.
May their morphing be a welcomed addition to this world.

Not sure what you mean by "fast channel switching"?
