Well that's pretty damn cheeky. The guy who was spreading misinformation about it being paraphonic posting a video called "polyphonic proof." Typical Internet bs. :eyeroll:eXode wrote:New Demo from PlugInGuru showcasing some pads, etc:

According to the manual it does not transmit or receive any aftertouch (poly or channel).aMUSEd wrote:tehlord wrote:Several of their more expensive synth keyboards don't have aftertouch of any kind so I doubt it even has channel aftertouch. Also does it have poly aftertouch? I know I'll never use it but I need to know I can if I want to.
As far as I understand it send and receives MIDI CC.olicana wrote:do the knobs send midi? if yes then it's pretty much a must buy for me as I need to replace my midi controller . might aswell go for this. incredible price.

yes it does receives and sends CC. but afaiu they are plain 7 bit format so only 128 values aka steppish cutoff and pitch automationszalonykp wrote:According to the manual it does not transmit or receive any aftertouch (poly or channel).aMUSEd wrote:tehlord wrote:Several of their more expensive synth keyboards don't have aftertouch of any kind so I doubt it even has channel aftertouch. Also does it have poly aftertouch? Maybe there is internal smoothing... We will have to wait for some reviews - or maybe guys from KVR that ordered Minilogues will confirm.lalo wrote: yes it does receives and sends CC. but afaiu they are plain 7 bit format so only 128 values aka steppish cutoff and pitch automation![]()

i hope so! as far as i see/here in the various videos, seems that the 4 parameters that are available for the internal sequencer are kinda smoothed. i hope this can be relevant for midi to. and in the midi implementation chart seems that sys-ex messages are supported...plus does the minilogue have an updatable firmware?szalonykp wrote:Maybe there is internal smoothing... Sequencer step smoothing is an option. It's in the manual.
But I would venture that received CCs are also smoothed.
Most synthesizers today have updateable firmware.

Too bad, but I expected no MIDI sending at all (considering all the other features at that price), so even that is goodlalo wrote:yes it does receives and sends CC. but afaiu they are plain 7 bit format so only 128 values aka steppish cutoff and pitch automationszalonykp wrote:According to the manual it does not transmit or receive any aftertouch (poly or channel).aMUSEd wrote:tehlord wrote:Several of their more expensive synth keyboards don't have aftertouch of any kind so I doubt it even has channel aftertouch. Also does it have poly aftertouch? It would definitely be too bad if there's no option to "smooth" received CC, at least for the filter, although for me that's not a "deal-breaker", because I only use it for coarse tuning and do the rest manually.

Oook then. So Korg has started the arms race in cheap polyphonic analogs.

Indeed. As Gaz WIlliams said "this has kicked the door wide open for the industry"cocoazenith wrote:Oook then. So Korg has started the arms race in cheap polyphonic analogs.

There are far more positive comments than negative ones, so yesAnX wrote:The question is, has this synth been given thefrom gearslutz ?
