They're claiming copyright over one of my recent tracks - Dorian In C - which I made a simple video of using pix and then posted on YouTube. I'm not posting a link because this isn't a plug, it's a complaint/rant. The song I'm apparantly ripping of is "The Train From Vienna To Munich" by - well I'm not plugging CD Baby either.
So now I'm in dispute with CD Baby. They've got 30 days to respond.

Any one else had/is having this sort of problem? What was the result?

Did you use someone else's music? Their recording? Or did you make a cover of it?

So CD Baby is claiming a "copyright violation" by you of an existing track? If this is based on a YouTube video then wouldn't that more likely be the result of Google's (YouTube's) automated song-matching software that identifies this sort of thing?

No, no and no.
I'm not even sure my track qualifies as music! :D I used no samples (outside of what comes with my vstis - HALion mostly), melody is non-existent, just a simple 3-chord progression over an even simpler bassline. :dog:
As stated by spirit, probably automated software sticking it's unwanted virtual nose in. Hey ho.

Yes, this is dumb software robot. I've got this when I used a bit of Beethoven's, the robot claimed that I ripped off someone who was using the same Beethoven's theme. Just reply to dispute and stand by your rights, apparently replies are being handled by a human. My "case" has been dismissed quickly.

Good to hear! :tu:
