Week from previous attempt I tried again and this time finally got it working. Oddest thing was that where ever the files were determined to go by the regular install, not changing any paths, was not where it would work. I got endless list of missing resource files and clicking them away finally crashed the host. So I actually had to move the files manually and then it worked. Didn't use CCC, offline registering worked just fine and wasn't the problem to begin with, just that the new install was wonky.robotmonkey wrote:So finally decided to download the ZTA2+ update now the the offline activation seems to be available without installing the CC cr@p. But when installing I see that now you can choose the directory for content files (instead of dumping it in the root of C:\ like previous versions) but not the installation directory.

After installing as Cakewalk dictated, I got folders with exe-files und dll-files anywhere. Even in my AVID video program folder! In Cubase 32-bit Z3TA could not load VST-Presets anymore. Uninstalled it (2.2) and reinstalled Z3TA (2.1).
@ Cakewalk: No more updates like this, please!

Just a heads up: Cakewalk is having a sale which ends today, 50 % off on some Cakewalk instruments, e.g. Z3TA 2 and Rapture Pro, when you type in the coupon code "MADNESS": https://www.facebook.com/CakewalkInc/ph ... =3&theater

Did you see that there have been a couple of more updates for Z3TA 2? I didn't have the issues you wrote about above either. Anyway, all i was up to is inform people that they have a sale. Up to them what they do with that.

To someone who have auvaltool related error on Logic X and other Daw:
Check your VST3 folder. Permission is restricted to access through normal user in my case. Change permission everyone can read and write.
And then, remove the audio unit cache file in User/Username/Library/Caches/AudioUnitCache so logic x rescan plugins.
I think most of Z3ta contents are settled in vst3 module.(it's more than 100MB! AU component is 2MB though) I guess AU component load synth from vst3 module. Dunno why

OMFG, so despite all my doubts I recently installed the latest ZTA+2 update, authorized it and played a bit with it. It seemed to work ok. So today I started it up again after some time, and now, I get the demo mode error even though it shows it's authorized. A big FU to Cakewalk! Why release your sh1tty software on the general public without testing it first? All the recent Cakewalk releases seem to be huge bugfests and source of endless grief. So my free advice would be: hire some f**cking people who know how program and add some software testers in the mix. Judging by releases from the last year I bet you would not have come up with that ingenious idea yourself.
