How do you do Tuplets in Studio One 3?

AFAIK this isn't possible in Studio One's MIDI editor, but you can stretch the whole MIDI part in the arrange window by alt-dragging

Yes. Control-click on the piano key will select all those pitches.

Is there a Undo option in the piano roll?

Yes. Control - Z is Undo in Windoze (Command Z for Mac).

Enable 'Snap to Events' and then on the left-hand-side of the midi editor, set the default length to 'Triplet'.

In this way, each note you enter will be set to triplet length, and you can then drag/snap them together.

I see I was not alone in wonderdering why he wouldn't simply switch the grid to triplets.

- Click in 7 16th notes.
- Split the clip and mod stretch it 1 beat, 2 beats, whatever.

I agree with you that doing it in the key editor would be better, but your question was, "How to do it in X?" That's how.

If the question now is... "Can it do that thing the exact same way Reaper does it? ... the answer would be no.

Here you go. Your investigation of every feature of every daw ... "What daw does..." ... seems to be never ending so let me add to your database. You can stretch notes, but only at the clip level, not at the note level. If you want to stretch a group of notes, split the clip around them and stretch the clip...



If you want 46 notes on one beat or whatever, make 46 notes and stretch the clip to fit one beat.

This almost looks like the solution in Studio One. Not by my daw at the moment.. I'll have to check later.
