Canada here.
Thanks very much MFXxx. I guess YouTube unblocker only works with Firefox version 38 and below and not with Firefox 43.
Hahaha, I guess Ricky can laugh at anybody, including himself. And Bowie will do just about anything for his friends.

The unblocker works at least up until v42. I'm in the "land of GEMA disputes", and I use this plugin daily. Still have to update FF however.

After a few days gone by, I'm still surprised by how much this has shaken me up. I never connected with Bowie in the way that I connected with, say, Peter Gabriel, even though I own almost all of his albums. Bowie was an enigma, and well-versed in hiding behind his stage persona. He even made the hiding into a game of sorts, giving us a few discrete glimpses of the real man behind the mask now and then, and making us guess which glimpses were real and which were make-believe. But somehow, the masks always hinted at the man beneath, and maybe, through this, we even got a better picture of him than of any other rock star. And anyway, Blackstar is probably the most personal album of his career. It's an amazing and touching piece of work... and the irony is that it's now at #1 everywhere. A progressive album, laced with dissonances, at times impenetrable lyrics, and unusual song structures, is now sitting in the homes of people who usually wouldn't listen to this kind of thing if you tied them down and forced them to. Somehow, this gives me hope.
Been listening to Bowie all week. What a body of work!
"I can't give everything away." Well, you didn't need to. What you gave is more than enough.

That all is very true. How he has affected is incredible - a real genre breaker. Shows also the power of the present media (mass media × sosial media).ariston wrote:After a few days gone by, I'm still surprised by how much this has shaken me up. For me he was first of all really skillful musician, songwriter and performing artist. I'm not that keen e.g. on his acting career, in fact the best acting perfomances were the concerts and the interviews. Just a curiosity, take a look this interview - although probably has to do with chemical substances a bit, too, but what a impressive performance in any case, you can't get your eyes of him:
