Going nuts speculating about how I shall tell the shieldmaiden that I am going to spend 600€ on this....and further explain why I couldn't just have spend the money on some wellnes weekend with her instead. After my MC909 in 2015 I was stupid enough to promise her that I wouldn't buy more hardware :dog:

But the GAS for this is killing me :help: Just the look of it and knowing it is solid material is enough. Never mind it's sound. It is Korg so it will basically sound good.

Any good ideas about what I say to her, guys?

"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Do you have anything that you could get rid of? Maybe offer to sell something. In the meantime you want to get the Minilogue now because it's going to be a HOT HOT HOT item. The funds from the sale can go towards the wellness weekend.

Oh man, hadn't seen that video of the clicking

I'm not going to worry about that just yet. I'm sure that if it was a serious problem then the folks doing the sound design (e.g. Richard Devine, etc.) and all of those myriad youtube stores/unboxers would have noticed it. So I would say keep an eye out but don't freak out about it until further notice. :)

Faithful imitation of Dune 2 :hihi:

But it's everything but "little". This is a serious issue which nullifies most benefits of being "analog". Analog should never make unwanted noises under any sane settings.

Whenever I see the topic name for a glimpse of a moment there I read Kylie Minogue.

(can't wait to check the Minilogue out though...)

Yes my JP8000 has to go and that is going to hurt. Unfortunately it will only finance half of minilogue at best, given its condition. But me waaaaaant.

Actually she got a 535€ speed ticket last year. I could try something like "if you can spend money on speed driving, I can buy a synth". Got a bad feeling about it though, not sure it is going to work.

Yeah, I think bringing up the speed ticket would be a big mistake! Well, maybe she doesn't know that about the JP8000 only being worth about half the Minilogue. And you might not know that either until you actually go to sell it (if you know what I mean).

Actually Kyli Minogue does sound kind of like Korg Minilogue... especially after you've had a few beers.

On the clicks... I went through a couple threads on the Rekkerd forums and it looks like the upshot is that it's still overall a fantastic synth.
