Mainstage got an update too with MPE midi keyboard support for Alchemy etc.
Not sure if Logic offers the same. Well, can try it tomorrow!
Ive downloaded Logic... Alchemy now has Mono Mode, which is what Apple have been calling voice per channel (before MPE etc) . it has per key pitch and pressure ( in note property) , as yet Ive not found anything that would relate to timbre/cc74..... so nice, but not quite there yet :)

EDIT: they have also added mono mode to Sculpture :) ... this does allow you to use CC74

Still no GUI update to exs24 sampler or ultra beat :(

Wow, the Logic team is on fire! And they're taking care of a lot of wish list items with each update. I'm a really happy customer ever since I bought version X. And I'm glad I was right assuming Apple would be updating all GUIs with free updates. Can't wait to have them all new and shiny.

The updated GUIs make most of the bundled plug-ins more useful to me, I know I'll use them more often in the future just because they're more pleasant to look at.. Especially the ones which have either metering or graphs included. Wouldn't mind the addition of scrolling waveforms for some as that's one of the things I really love about the FabFilter plug-ins.

Now if only they could bring back and fix the Logic Nodes...

So, wish list items for future updates, anybody? :D

I want the 'Instant Rockstar' plugin.

Did anybody check the latest Garage Band update? I think the development team is experimenting with an Ableton Live-like clip matrix. That's still on my wishlist for Logic, to be honest.

Currently, I use Live/Push to quickly come up with musical ideas and test arrangements On the fly. I know there's way more you can do with Live but that's the main draw for me. A similarly focussed workflow in Logic would be amazing.

The only bummer with this is that I was hoping for a big 10.3 for NAMM with more new stuff :)

I'm curious to see if they can make Drummer work well with odd meters. Would be nice to cover everything from edm to progressive metal with one DAW :D

I have yet to load a project which used to kill my CPU to get an idea of how much the multithreading improves working in those situations. If it makes a real difference, then I'm okay with waiting for the easter release with more features, tbh. I'd much rather see them continue to fix long-standing annoyances before implementing new features.

What's Apple got to do with NAMM, I guess they don't care at all about these shows.

Btw, did this happen for anyone else? I can't select Mid/Side etc in the Channel EQ anymore it seems, the selection box seems "greyed out" :help:

Same goes for the Normalize option in the Bounce menu, can't turn Normalize off for some reason, any idea? :help:

I'd updated without realising so was quite surprised when I fired up Logic and the GUI for overdrive was completely different. But it looks good so I wasn't upset.

I hope they're reduced the CPU load from using the Channel EQ (with the analyser) as thats been really annoying on my laptop

Hm, anybody knows how the multithreading works? It seems to be limited to multiple live inputs, if the text is right. So this is not multi-processing, right?

That would have been more helpful, as my biggest problem with Logic these days is specific synths overloading the processor core (while the other 7 are pretty much idle...).
