Yep, yet another British Company down the swany. I came in to the Music Maker here in Dublin and they told me this the case.
Their kit was the best i saw why?
I was going to buy their Remote 49 key controller. There is big discounts being offered on their kit at shops but i would not buy anything.

Hmmm....no news on that here in the states yet...and no change to their web page either. Any official release there other than the guy at the shop?
Not to be rude or seem like I think your lieing but I know alot of salespeople that like to spread rumors to sell things

You may be right about the bull shit. I asked the guy there at the shop about the UC-33 and it's mixing integration in to Cubase and he said he thinks it can't handle audio. TWERP! I don't think i will buy anything from that shop. They nevr have stock of anything.
Thanks about the new release. I still will buy their new controller. Can't wait. Aftertouch and all.
I will go to Digital Village in the UK.

Erm, do you think the UC-33 can handle audio?
An idiot on Set Theory:

I dont think he means doing audio I/O but that it could be used to controll audio levels within Cubase...which any controller like that should be able to handle yes?whyterabbyt wrote:Erm, do you think the UC-33 can handle audio?

I wanted specifically to get a controller keyboard or otherwise to start/stop and send mixing data across either midi messages (vol) or (ideally) direct to the Cubase Audio VSTi mixer through other transmissions. I know the Novation Remote can do at least the midi messages and start/stop.
The sales man dip shit did not know what the thing was for and couldn't even give me a manual to read on the UC-33. I had the small change to buy one in my pocket.
Best advice : K-V-R every time!

pugface.. don't be too quick to slag off MusicMaker..
they have a great selection.. they only shop in town to sell loads of software..as well as decent amounts of hardware
i don't want them going bust
and the guys on the 1st floor are usually great...and really know their stuff most the time
i have a huge debt of thanks to pay to them for sorting my studio out when i first started up

They are the only Shop in Ireland!
I wouldn't want them to go bust but the guy irritated me on Saturday and now i know he told a pack of lies about Novation. Also, they no longer deal with Edirol. Why? They have great kit.
They simply never have any stock and you have to wait weeks for anything, where as in the UK, you get everything pretty immediately.
To the Irish, shop arround like us Brits, buy from the Internet and ask advice here at K-V-R. It is the sure thing.
