I just think he needs to reconsider the pre-order thing. Wait till the products are beta at least. He'll have an easier time managing expectations that way.

Even announcing products so early isn't a great idea. Just see how things change.

I think we all agree. Thing is, he's been doing it this way for well over a decade now. This same conversation happens every single time he announces a new product or group buy or cancels something or whatever. Nothing we say here is going to have any impact whatsoever. Really, the only choice to make is this: are you in or out?

Just to be clear, I wasn't slagging on the guy and his choice to do that. I'd just never actually seen that before.

Even with crowd funding you see a mockup, a prototype, or something half built, before financially supporting it. But otoh, if he has a history of delivering "interesting things" like the other poster said, that is "something".

Well, I'm out. I'll give it a year and see where everything is at then I guess. I wish him the best with it all though, but the preorder and pray thing is so not for me.

Where you been, William does this about once every three months for the last ten years or so, I am going to place bets it will never happen, and the people who pre order it will end up with something else entirely

Didn't he code EVE or something, with the guy that did Hornet synth. Or something. It had to be years ago, I just vaguely remember buying some things before the duo disbanded and the Wusik saga began.

I gotta agree with that

There was Wusik 4000, quickly followed by Wusik 8000, then Wusik Station V8 came, and that group buy has not ended before there is a new group buy for Wusik Station X and now also Wuisk DAW ZO

When it comes to strategy he is cutting off his own supply lines (i.e customers buying into it) by moving so fast into new territory

Honestly, I think the biggest improvement he can make with his products would be a much better browser and better organized library.

Dunno. I don't follow or chase synths really (so many) and I had no idea what Wusik even was until this thread and had never even heard of it.

Maybe I'm the last person on earth to be made aware of it but, fwiw, that's the truth. Not like I read every section or thread on KVR either so that must have happened in threads or forums that didn't interest me.

So.... yeah... i would have missed that Jeopardy answer two days ago... "What is Wusik?"
