Hmm, 6 hours gone, and still you're all sat there with your thynthethythers playing jaath....... :hihi:

Ahhh well, might as well enter this contest....

12 foot lizard

A sort of poor mans ELO (Oasis? :-o ) thingy. I'm sure I've ripped off some Rainbow song or summat in the middle 8!

One has tried to capture the prevailing zeitgeist (hmm, too much time talking to griels in the chat.... ), of KvR with the lyrics......

maybe baby, seems about the time
lady lady ,have you lost your mind?
12 foot lizards, blizzards of confused
lead us now please don’t bide your time

paranoia, mania, up and down, round and round
claptrap, catflap, old hat, heard it all before, daft bat

how's it feel to be the biggest and the best?
rock star, nice car, go far, superstar, in your dreams
looking down at us from your ivory tower
don't even know what day it is, don't even know the hour

I started this one during the voting last month in hopes of a latin theme, but I guess a free for all will work :). This is a bossa/samba combo and the beginning is somewhat jazzy, but I don't have a lisp so it's all good :D.

Beleza

Please excuse the pronunciations, portuguese is not my native tongue.

(MOD EDIT - fixed the link)
EDIT: Link fixed to be direct.

I realise that saying that I've been influenced by Steely Dan is a sure way of getting my head blown off with 'How Dare You' (but since that was 10cc, the argument rather falls down...), so I will state at the outset that I have also had the following going around my head lately:
'Birdhouse in your soul' They might be Giants
'Europe on a Dollar a day' & 'Starbright Park' Quantum Jump
Joni Mitchell's 'Court and Spark' LP (esp. 'Help Me', and 'Car on a Hill')

So there ya go!

I used mda epiano and piano, TickyClav (thru mda combo), a brass section of Darkesword Tenor and Alto Saxes and 2*PapelMedia Trumpet each in it's own sfz, another couple of sfzs for the guitars, my warbly voice, loopazoid, 4front gsyn bass, mastered using SlimSlowSlider's Linear Phase EQ, T-Sledge and TLS-Maximizer, all in NTrack.

Oh, and I just noticed the caveat in the theme - since this is influenced by Steely Dan (amongst others) it's not strictly jaath, since it has a bit of wok and woll, and fnuk too...

:D

This month's meaningless track title is
>> Ergopro <<
(For the poor sods without .ogg capability there's an mp3 version as well.)

There are no lyrics.
The party was hosted by energyXT, the participants were: sfz | sampletank2free | augur | tau | c3 multibandcomp | tridirt | mda multiband | ambience | slightly louderizer | a bunch of cackling people.

but is it jaaaaath?

Ninety-Four

A good, old fashioned bit of electronicness - I reckon this is what I wanted to sound like ten years ago, and might have done given today's resources...

The usual suspects were involved: Tracktion, Attack, impOscar, Oddity, SFZ & NSKit, Kjaerehus Classic things, SIR & Spectral Relativity Impulses - plus the latest band members, Cameleon and SuperCamelPhat!
