Oh yes, the new GUI features are very cool.
The LFO module looks very useful.
Will this become more complex so more interesting modulation shapes can be created?
Feature Request:
Assign the LFO to the pen tool.
Temper (defunct DAW) has a whole modular modulation system that you can assign to the tools.
So you can draw sequences in the piano roll or shapes in the automation lanes.
The same modulation system is embedded in the arpeggiator.
Whats really cool is you can assign midi controllers to that modulation system so while you are drawing data with the mouse you can tweak what youre drawing, while youre drawing it, with a midi controller

I wonder if they've fixed the issue with not being able to keep the app in full screen mode when switching between apps or pressing the Win key etc.

I'm interested to see what they've done with Racks , Aux sends/returns ????Supposedly they've revamped Racks ??? I like the minimized transport view , color scheme , and what they've done with the sample/loops/files browser . Seems like a very good update .

I gotta agree. As somebody who used Tracktion back in the beginning pretty much(long before it was 1.0), I was always a fan of what they were trying to do. But I never felt they full fleshed out the potential. Now it is really taking leaps forward. In fact, the whole app is.TheoM wrote:that gui is f**king amazing. Look how easy on the eyes it is even when their is multiple bits of info displayed and the browser open. I think that must be the best gui i have seen now.
I may not be switching back, but it sure is tempting to upgrade my license just to support it. So many new things in each new version. The workflow isn't for everyone, and the interface isn't perfect(I wish there was a way to evenly line up volume meters, but there are good reasons why that would limit the routing options, so I can't fault them for not doing it). But Tracktion is one of the faster evolving apps these days, and it still has such a unique workflow that actually WAS revolutionary in some ways, and still is today. And the interface tweaks they have made have pushed that forward. I love it.

I am definitely planning on it. Every dollar is important these days(especially since I quit my job in December- self employed money is more valuable, lol). But I'm looking to pick up the latest version. Debating whether to pick up V6 and upgrade, or wait for V7.TheoM wrote:i'm rarely using it but for the pittance UG prices i am indeed doing that to support development. So i can encourage that Brentas a good thing as i don't think the user base is all that big, yet they keep on chugging

Chances are that we've past the date where new T6 purchasers get T7 for nothing. But don't quote me on that.koolkeys wrote:I am definitely planning on it.
