Ughhhhh.. does anyone else have an issue where it takes 20 clicks for some of the menus to stay open on OSX? This is making it very difficult to assign modulations...

64bit or 32bit host? Worked quite normally here, except some nasty idling cpu spikes after reloading the song.z.prime wrote:Ughhhhh.. does anyone else have an issue where it takes 20 clicks for some of the menus to stay open on OSX? This is making it very difficult to assign modulations...
Mostly I think it's related to the hardware acceleration of GUI. Try to disable in the options and reload.

Did that first thing... Seems to be related to song playback... Maybe it's a Bitwig issue because of all the popup windows somehow. Frustrating, though.Hanz Meyzer wrote:... hardware acceleration of GUI. Try to disable in the options and reload.

Worked fine for me in Logic Pro X. My biggest issue with it was that once it got a couple of layers deep into menus I would lose control of the sequencer and would have to click into logics main window to playback the song. Otherwise no crashes on other funky behavior.z.prime wrote:Ughhhhh.. does anyone else have an issue where it takes 20 clicks for some of the menus to stay open on OSX? YES, that is an amazingly effective recipe. I just tried it now, really good starting point. Mix rescue, even.z.prime wrote:High frequency sounds are easier to hear so low frequency sounds need to be louder. For example, a kick maybe would be -10db, a snare -11db, sub bass -12db, other basses -16db, hats/other perc -30/-20db, pads/leads/other stuff -20/-16db... as a very rough ballpark. Then the main melody would be boosted up just a bit to be louder. This way you'd not be going much over 0 anywhere, ideally, and the limiter can just have the signal boosted into it to get your levels up.
Anyway, hope that helps.

This plugin is at length discussed over at this thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 1&t=204964.z.prime wrote:Last thing... I highly recommend the 'Xilentify' plugin. It does wonders for your mix
It is indeed amazing.

No, it's still there. Click on the link toward the bottom of the page. You can make the text larger in your browser if it's too small for your eyes.wagtunes wrote:Well they must have removed it. Can you send me a copy?
