My first impression also.

Not sure if its a characteristic, the low end appears to suddenly cut in, quite steep.

Note that the intermittent warbly type growling sound happens before self oscillation, but won't happen without audio input of the right level to interfere with the resonance (which is exactly like the analog filter I built but unlike some other models I've heard of this filter).

Just gave this a listen. I'm not a fitler aficionado so I won't embarrass myself trying to guess, but that is one nasty sounding filter (in a cool way). That growing is really interesting in and of itself. It sounds like the a bomb going off within the filter circuit.

Whatever it is, it sounds fantastic. Very unpredictable and has lots of unusual character.

Are they the envelopes in The Drop Andy? Or are you using Silent Way?

I'm guessing it's modeled on an Arp 4012 filter.

The Polivoks is a great guess as it's quite dirty and an SVF, which is two big ticks, but still not quite there!

All envelopes are from The Drop, being triggered via midi. Nope, not an Arp 4012!
