according to his web- and facebook-page British Songwriter Colin Vearncombe, better known as "Black" (Wonderful Life), has passed away in hospital today...
He had a severe car accident near Cork a few days ago and was in a very critical state.
No official statement at the moment!

I still listen to 'Wonderful Life' from time to time.http://www.rte.ie/ten/news/2016/0126/76 ... earncombe/Singer-songwriter Colin Vearncombe, known as Black, has died following a car crash in Cork earlier this month.
The 53-year-old was travelling from his home in Schull, West Cork to Cork Airport on Sunday January 10 when the accident took place.
He was put in a medically induced coma in Cork University Hospital following the crash, and on Sunday (January 24), his family said that his condition had "seriously deteriorated".
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

No no no I was always impressed with his vocals and "Wonderful Life" and "Everything Is Coming Up Roses" bring back some happy memories for me. Very sad about this

Terrible news. A friend was talking about him not so long ago. He'd seen an interview with him (I guess on YouTube) talking about how Wonderful Life didn't do well when it was first released. We looked at the video and were talking about what a great video it was.
