To OP: I would like you make some more in depth videos about your products. The current videos on your channel are more like marketing blurb. And also I think your plugins could do with a new GUI as the current ones look like they are from 1994. That goes especially for pedals.

Sound wise I actually like them quite a lot.

I've been trying out the solo version on Mac - is it only the pro version that has VST3 support because what I'm seeing is just AU's. Also what about VST2 support on Mac?

Can't see any support for AU presets though, I tried opening the preset manager but they are not there.

Sorry for writing in german only. I will try to translate.
I installed the Beat Edition of InTone 2 and took a shot at it.
First thing I noticed was, Intone scans the Vst-Folders with every start. As I have approx. 2000 of them (mostly freeware, from hgf, dsk, evm etc....) this task takes a small eternity to compltet, despite having a rather decent i7 CPU and a fast SSD.
Besides, there is freqently an alert popping up, while scanning is in progress: "Can't load Module 'J&H .... (f.i. PD-Patch)". This could be related to those many Synthedit-vst's I have (said hgf,dsk...), but I can't (and won't) belive the scanner does check SEM module files. However, when this error occurs, the scan comes to a halt until I press ok, and it does so about 30 times on my machine (at every start of the program so far).
At this point it must be said that other vst hosts/DAWs I use, like Reaper, Cantabile and Ableton Live Lite, of course they are crashing (often) during their initial scan of my vst folders, but they remember which plugins they already scanned, and which they do not like.
They only scan new vst's, if detected.
It's also happening that InTone doesn't show any scan activities, and also doesn't use more than 0.4 % CPU, but when an attempt is made to close it, it denies, indicating a vst scan is active.
Eventually, Intone succeeded, and at first I tried to place a vst into an instrument slot. I wondered about the huge box which opened and filled my full HD screen completely...where all vst's are sorted by Vendor, everyone with a sub-menu "VST2" and "VST3", with no possibility to change the sorting method. I think, the good old system of a vst browser would make much more sense here, not to mention that at least I don't remember plugins by their vendor (some I do, but most of them by name).
After that I had to set the Midi chain, which is not very elegant (there could come a default routing automatically), but logical in the end.
In general, i have to say that the free Cantabile 2 Player clearly surpasses Intone at least in terms of plugin handling, even with the possibility to record audio absent.
Concerning recording: I would suggest to implement a simple midi recorder, too, because audio recording doesn't make sense often with the intended usage of such a program.
Furthermore I missed: a function to change presets of an vst instrument (or effect) from outside of its editor GUI - not every vst has its own preset management; and dry/wet knobs for the effect slots.
From my point of view Intone 2 is, although not one of the most recent products, in some ways immature and unfinished.

Hello Knossos,
good points by the way, but in fact you cannot compare the Beat version with current inTone version. Please try current inTone 2 Solo to see whether the problems presist. We like to get suggestions, please send them to info@audiffex.com (mailto:info@audiffex.com).

The problem with scanning applies only to older PC versions of inTone 2. Please let us know the version you have (support@...)
inTone 2 is not a multi virtual instrument player, it is rather a software mixing console and playback engine supporting virtual instruments. Yes, the Beat version has more instrument chains, but the standard version has the chain types quite flexible and it can process up to 18 audio inputs. Then the audio recording makes sense
The MIDI mapping is complicated, but incredibly flexible. We admit, the preset and default mappings should be there and we work on them right now.
We had a preset selector for plug-ins in inTone 1. However, many plug-ins have some internal preset management and only one preset reported to the host. There is a possibility to load a preset for one chain.
Thanks for the other hints. FYI, the next update will get mapping for the BMS buttons, MIDI tempo, better factory presets and some more features.

Sorry for having not answered here for such a long time. The version I have, and on which my comments are based on, is the last Beat version available - 2.3.1 with .exe dated 17th of June, 2015. I did not torture me through the order/checkout process for the free inTone 2 Solo just to look if there's a newer version ;-)
