Hi again,

Its 2 weeks from my post about which Daw to choose and after your helpfull suggestions and my decision to go with Reaper, I wanted to hear the whole thing together. Well, after 10 days of trying to get some sound from my Audio interface & Reaper combo I am becoming heavily flustrated.

I gues my lack of experience is reason for doing something wrong !? I can't hear any sound no matter what. If you can shed some light on, it would be great. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Here are some of the things I have done - screenshots and photos you can see here, as I had problems posting them directly: http://s1194.photobucket.com/user/al7as ... and%20ID14)

- 1st I have instaled my Audient audio device (software/mixer/drivers) and REAPER
- I connected my microphone and headphones to audio device
- I went into Reaper (Options/Preferences/Audio device and set like instructed
- I got the clear signal. My audio interface does receives a signal from the mic but there is no sound through head phones. Master & track levels on Reaper and ID14 mixer both register the signal coming from my microphone, yet there is no sound
- I checked the speaker adjustments on computer. Also changed them few times but still no sound

Then I erased both interface software and Reaper and downloaded them again. Tried again and still NO sound. I started reading things on forums and tried to change few more things (Wave out & direct sound instead of Asio, changing few parameters, Asio buffer size, latency set ect. but nothing!) Anyone have a solution?

YES I also checked that Record monitoring in Reaper is ON and few more things suggested but they didn't help. I have no idea what is going on, what I have missed or done wrong?

There must be something simple I forgot?

Thank you truly for your help! I appreciate a lot

You have "Analogue 1" to "Analogue 4" selected as outputs in Reaper. Do you know how these map to the headphone output socket -- i.e. which audio out is L/R on the socket? Does the Reaper Master channel output have the correct outs?

Thanks for the tips! I have to check these things.
But I gues I have to find some good long detailed video about Reaper, to set up everything properly. Guessing will not bring me real understanding.

Sorry for any mistakes - English is not my native language. I hope I understand what you are talking about :)

Thank you!
