It does click on fast attack, zero release, short decay, zero sustain, but not anymore than my other synths and it can be used rythmically if you want. Its a fricken $499 poly true analog. Enough about clicky envelopes already.
good then. cos in sawaveanalog's 1st video the clicking was there even when attack and release were well up (at 30% or something).
in any case in all the musical examples, like in Aiynzahev example, those clicks are sounding sweet. for percussive rythms plucks zaps and blips might be even desirable. they really pop out...punchy as hell....no need for VCA compression. you get it included in the synth :hihi:

the only thing that still does not sound good is the delay ....the white noise that enters in the background is too invasive.....but the delay is really an extra feature . and the highpass included in the delay will be of use.
They have some fixes for delay in 1.04 firmware update (which doesn't play nice with my win 10 upgrade from 7, but I will use another pc to patch it)

I wonder if that guy is going to go for a third video on his clicky issue and maybe pull out a system 55 to compare to?

Anyway, my minilogue is not really exhibiting the same behavior so don't really care about his ongoing clicky series of videos. I suppose I could spend some time trying make patches that just click or I could just keep twisting up cool sounds on it as that is really the easy thing to do with it.

Some really nice sounds in there...

From the vids and the reports so far, I think the probability that this clicking issue is a case of hysteria seems to be about 99% now, so let's just drop it. It really takes the attention away from all the great features and sounds of this synth that deserve to be displayed instead.

As far as the "You-newbies-and-f**king-amateurs"-spectro-twat-squad concerns, they will not be convinced about anything anyway when they first get an idea in their skulls. They have already suggested that even if the clicks cannot be heard they are there and will add up to a muddy sound or something. So basically their hypothesis cannot be falsified :nutter: and deserves no further comments.

Your ears are all you need to get a pretty good idea about how the ADSR was set.
And if your ears fail you, then use your eyes.

The whole, objective truth must include ALL positive and ALL negative sides.
Some here (exactly 2 of us) seem to not see anything negative and hail the synth as a flawless new holy grail - which is simply not true.
It is a good synthesizer with some flaws and errors in design, some units are faulty/broken and should be sent back for repairs or replacement - thats all.

...here we go Again  By this snippet it has just been proven that your ears are full of shit guys. There are clicking everywhere on every setting on every unit that will ever be shipped in past, present and future in this universe and all parallel universes that exist or will come to exist.

Hurry up and cancel your orders Guys.

Who started it again ?
Scroll up.
I kept silent about it for days, only linked 1 video WITHOUT any excessive clicking (some clicking was audible).

Some opinions of one Minilogue owner (skip to 35:40). Dunno if this was posted already, sorry if it was.

Post

Yes it was posted before, the problem is that it is not the envelopes that click on some units, but the VCA (as you can see on the screenshot i posted few posts above) - and his unit is free of this fault.

If you promise to keep silent for a whole year, I promise not to "start" anything meanwhile. Deal?

Nothing more from me about the clicking issue.

That's bad news. When I first ordered at Thomann, they wrote something about 5th of February. Then they removed this date leaving no other. Where did you get this info?

You have an abstract idea of perfection... and anything that does not live up to that is called flawed. That is a particular worldview. Your worldview is not an objective truth. Fine that you have it, but I don't share it.

What you call flaws and errors, I call the inevitable choices made to bring out a poly analog for $500

I'm sure that the new OB-6 will have less of those "flaws and errors", but so far in the audio examples I've heard, I like the character of the Minilogue better. Which matters more is subjective.

I'm happy to hear all user reports, however, you seem to want to draw conclusions before it is warranted (IMO). Not a single synth ever has not had faulty/broken units that needed to be returned or repaired. It is too soon to tell if the percentage of such units with the Minilogue will be higher, same or lower than a general historical average.

Have you purchased one for yourself yet?

It used to say on Thomann product page for Minilogue. I see now that they've removed it. Hm.

@pdxindy. I have just made a great deal with Mutant. Plz don't spoil it.

@Mutant. I'd rather see more vids from you in line with the one you posted. It was actually awesome as someone already noted.
