you realise he only posted that 'positive' demo video to justify his presence in this thread, so that he can continue with his true pleasure/goal at any point... trolling. which, as you can see from the previous page, he subsequently did.IncarnateX wrote:@Mutant. I'd rather see more vids from you in line with the one you posted. It was actually awesome as someone already noted.
best to ignore him... what he's doing in the hardware subforum I don't know. rhetorical question, because the answer is obvious.

Whatever motives, I choose to believe him when he writes that our deal is a deal. Now let's have some more vids, sound examples and reports, so we can keep our hardware GAS going while we wait for this little miracle to arrive at our doorsteps. FEED ME, FEED ME, FEED ME!

Apologies for maybe contributing to the clicking discussion when I asked Sami about his overall impression and whether he was experiencing any issues with his unit. I definitely don't want to base any decisions on one bad youtube video, but on the other hand if there were some sort of issue I do want to be objective and know about it going in. At any rate, for me it's now a moot point as I've already placed an order for one. I do like the character of the sound and I also like the layout and overall design. I happen to love the fact that it's a smaller format keyboard. As Gaz Williams mentioned even before the NAMM show... I think Korg really hit it out of the ballpark on this one.
Mine is supposed to arrive... tomorrow!!!

Whatever the debate... the highs and lows I am thankful for the information ... is it VCA on only some units is it filter clicking only on extreme settings ... At least I can test my Minilogue when it arrives and decide for myself.

Logic, try it sometimes.Daags wrote:what he's doing in the hardware subforum I don't know. rhetorical question, because the answer is obvious.
I am looking for a hardware synthesizer that would:
1. Offer me sounds that i will like.
2. Pass the Xhip/Diva test (if i am unable to replicate the sounds with these two VSTis even if i know all the details of the sound).
3. Have a properly wide keyboard with at least 61 keys, or be a desktop module so i can use whatever MIDI controller i like.
4. At least 6, better 8 voice polyphony.
5. Good build quality with no bugs in both software and hardware.
Currently the closest thing to meeting all the requirements is Prophet 08/module and i was 1 micrometer from purchasing 2 of them (also looking at Futuresonus Parva, but from reading its thread on GS it seems like #5 disqualifies it), but then OB-6 came, so now i am waiting for a desktop module version of OB-6.
Obviously i am disappointed every time a big synth manufacturer comes up with something that only barely meets requirement #1 (recent Roland and Yamaha digital toys).
I want them to create my dream synthesizer.
Is that enough about me Daags ?
Or do you want to continue derailing the topic (which is Korg Minilogue in case you forgot) ?

Brad (Futuresonus) is working extremely hard on ironing out all sorts of bugs, pledgers are helping him out in finding a bunch of them (kpspiegel in particular). I think that's a good thing. Parva is definitely a viable option for you, and second preorder run has started...Mutant wrote:but from reading its thread on GS it seems like #5 disqualifies it
As far as build quality, it doesn't look feeble to me? And pledgers report solid build, too, as far as I recall...

(Writhing in envy and agony): Congratulations, Sequent! Now don't go on an ego-trip but return with reports and/or sound examples, all right?Sequent wrote:Mine is supposed to arrive... tomorrow!!!![]()

I fully expect all reports to be positive (knock wood). I'm not sure about sound examples as all of my recording gear is currently in pieces waiting to be assembled in my new music space.
I'm also waiting for my Moog Modular 55 to arrive (not) so I can do a youtube comparison video. Maybe I'll also do a youtube video showing how my Modular 55 is broken and there is no sound at all coming out of it. I'll cause a huge internet uproar while meanwhile there are no patch cords plugged into anything!
KVR disclaimer: I don't really have a Modular 55 and was just kidding about that. And I do realize that a Mother32 does not need anything cabled to make a sound, but I was talking about the Modular 55 which does need things to be patched.

Sorry if I brought unneeded stuff about flaws, but since I have had mine a few weeks I wanted to chime in. It's definitely not a perfect synth, but it definitely packs a wallop for $499 and is a blast to play and create on. It exceeded expectations of a $499 poly analog by leaps and bounds so far. Zero complaints at this price. Would have several if they charged $1000, but not at this price. Solid build too. Knobs feel great and not flimsy or loose feeling. Assignable pitch bend thingy - flipping great idea to save space, money, and get more use out of it. Motion recording on sequence. Every knob transmits midi cc's. Multiple modes.
Too much good to concentrate on it not having every bell and whistle and a mutimode filter. High pass filter can be used in interesting ways and is also analog. Just delay digital. If I get mine patched properly soon, I will try and see the "fixes" on the delay Korg mentions.

Given your criteria, your persistent presence (see: like a vaginal yeast infection) in this particular thread would be even more perplexing.... if it weren't so obvious why you're really here (peddling your usual troll routine, begrudging 3rd party demo posts notwithstanding)Mutant wrote: I am looking for a hardware synthesizer that would:

Also i am free to answer any of your failed rhetorical questions even if you don't need my answer (and you clearly need it, because your imagined reason for me being here is quite far from the truth).
If you have a problem with me being in this thread, how about you stop attacking me - then i won't need to come here to defend myself.
