This is so odd. I'm not even getting emails from them anymore.jc_vt wrote:Received an update today and the email indicated more people were just added to the test group

This is the email I just sent to JoBoMusic.
Hopefully, they will realize that they may be alienating others and losing sales in the process.

Dear Sir:
Below is the email I received from you back in July of last year.
I am still waiting to be placed on the beta testing team.
I know there are those who are already testing this.
I have over 30 years experience programming synthesizers so it puzzles me why I haven't been chosen as a beta tester.
Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed. At the very least, an email informing me that I've been rejected as a beta tester would have been nice.
On a public relations front, this is bad PR alienating your customer base like this before the product even gets released. Whereas at the beginning I was eager to purchase this, now, not so much.
This has been handles poorly and I hope you don't lose too many sales because of it.
You've certainly lost me as a customer.
Sincerely,
Steven Wagenheim

Hey, chill out!
I guess they're too busy refining their code ATM.
If I were you, I wouldn't expect much from this software anyway…
Something tells me that this ship has been sinking for a few months now.
I may be wrong, though…

Well, if that's true then it's a damn shame. I watched the first demo video. This thing has the most amazing potential for truly unique sounds.WolfKay wrote:Hey, chill out!![]()

Really don't understand your agressive and overly dramatic email. Surely you must be aware that there is huge amount of time and work involved in such an endeavour? Afaict it's their first synth?

Then don't send me emails telling me about beta testing after I applied. Or at least have the courtesy to tell me I haven't been chosen. I mean it's been over half a year and nothing.frankvg wrote:Really don't understand your agressive and overly dramatic email. Tough luck, but on a scale of 1 to 10 of crapness this is less than a 1wagtunes wrote:I have over 30 years experience programming synthesizers so it puzzles me why I haven't been chosen as a beta tester.

There can be reasons to why they don't notify users not selected as beta-testers
If 1000 apply and 20 are selected, those 20 are told to keep quiet about the process. That will become much more difficult if the 980 are told they are not selected.

Except after I applied, via their site, and answered all their questions, they never had to get back to me in the first place. Their first email to me, in response to my application, lead me to believe that I would EVENTUALLY be on the beta team (as it's being done in waves)Numanoid wrote:Tough luck, but on a scale of 1 to 10 of crapness this is less than a 1wagtunes wrote:I have over 30 years experience programming synthesizers so it puzzles me why I haven't been chosen as a beta tester.

It is now apparent that this isn't going to happen. So wouldn't it have saved them a lot of trouble just to never contact me in the first place?
Getting somebody's hopes up and then not following through is bad PR. How many more people do you think are pissed off and ultimately won't buy their product?
It's just no way to do business.
