Limitless comes always up with the minimal view (hided advanced controls).
Struggling to repro this here. Out of interest, do you have the Preset->GUI button lit? Does that impact things?

Yes, if the preset GUI button is enabled it restores the GUI!
But the changed GUI view should always be saved and restored? This GUI button is only to prevent changes while selecting a different preset?

Really weird. We can't repro this here. Can you drop me an email with details of host, format etc?

Dave.
I sent you a PM yesterday. :)

Can you verify that this fixes it: http://dmgaudio.com/publicbeta/Limitles ... 064bit.zip

No, this build has not fixed this behaviour :( It only works if the preset GUI button is enabled...

Oops. Try now... http://dmgaudio.com/publicbeta/Limitles ... 064bit.zip. That's working here.

The guy narrating the promo video sounds like Rob from Focusrite but I'm probably just a crazy yank thrown off by the English accent. :D

That's because it's Rob from Focusrite, but nowadays we call him Rob from Producertech. :)

Well, in between the times we'd call him Rob from Focusrite and Rob from Producertech, he was indeed often called Rob from Novation. :)

I will say this regarding pro-L and elephant vs limitless.. no disrespect to either developer but they simply can not compete even in broadband mode. pro-l can not sound ANYWHERE near as good as limitless.. fab filter are WAY outclassed here yet set a similar price.. go figure. I still think ozone is very good and outstanding value due to the extra stuff you get, the eq for example is very usable as is the super easy to use dynamic EQ :) I from now on think i will be using limitless after ozone (limiter in ozone off). Unless of course izotope answer very quickly in the next 30 days
Thanks man. I will definitely try and demo Limitless when i find some time (you picked very good name Dave...)

Out of curiosity, do you still have Slate limiter and if you do how FG-X compare to Limitless?

Cheers

Wow I'm really impressed by DMG Limitless.

Ozone 7's IV has been my go to since it came out, and i've tried most limiters, which just keep getting better, but i'd call Limitless the new king. 8)

I had just finished mastering an album and Ozone 7 IV was the final limiter on all tracks (I occasionally use a prior limiter as well, but I digress), and I tried swapping in Limitless as the final limiter instead and matched the levels so I was getting the same RMS and dynamic range, and I found in every single instance it was very close, but Limitless just has the edge on being more open and punchy.

Settings for all but one were wide band, separation 0, release around between 150 (tweaked per track but around there provided the extra punch I couldn't get with Ozone), and character either smooth, transparent or occasionally warm depending on what suited the track best.

I didn't like the multiband modes as much as wide band, but i'll experiment with them more in future. (For one track it was great)

Nice range of options, but still an 'easy' mode if you want it, and the addition of the clipper is excellent, as I always have a clipper prior to my limiter so I'll probably start using it.
