Getting somebody's hopes up and then not following through is bad PR. How many more people do you think are pissed off and ultimately won't buy their product?

I don't commend the way they handled you in this particular case, but I wouldn't call it bad business behaviour. I guess the dev is a one man operation or a small team, that just don't have the capacity or time to dot all the i's

Probably not, and they're going to end up paying for that.

On another note, heard that the software, as it stands now, sounds very dull. So more likely than not, they're having development problems as well.

It's all just a shame because if you watch the first video they put out, the potential in this thing is off the wall amazing.

I'm probably more upset about that than anything else, that such a promising synth is going to end up a piece of crap or not even released.

im in the same boat as wagtunes. the implications of the first few emails after applying were that i was eventually going to be part of the beta. now i too no longer even get emails from them. its kind of annoying, though im not upset about it.

i completely understand (and expect) not being informed that i wasnt selected...whats bothersome is that they really shouldnt have sent me a bunch of emails telling me how they were close to starting and to keep an eye out for further emails.

all in all i dont really care...and it certainly wouldnt keep me from buying the thing if its good.

i understand the frustration in both cases, but airing it in public like that is a bit much. it's not like they ripped you off or something. then again, see my rants about ABL3.

Just to follow up. I received an email reply apologizing for the lack of communication. I won't go into all the gory details of the email but suffice it to say that someday (may be a very, very long time from now) I will eventually get to test this thing.

I'll leave it at that.

Somewhat reluctant to enter this conversation, and will say very little, but I too applied ages ago and was sent the beta release, originally several months ago. They have followed up with updates, and in the latest release the AU/VST versions to go along with the main engine. I am certainly not as qualified as some others, no idea why I was selected and not wagtunes, etc.

The product is very promising, the documentation needs much more work since I find many functions not intuitive. Can't say much, but similar to Glass Viper on steroids.

Please allow to bring in some clarification to this thread!

Each Beta applicant that completed our survey and accepted our NDA is still on the list and nobody will be rejected from the Private Beta!
Currently, we are still working with a very small number of Beta Testers.
After having collected the first round of feedback we realized that there was a need for further development which led to a complete reshape of parts of Flexion.
That is the reason for the large delay. However, our small team is making good progress and we are planning to include everyone for Beta testing very soon.
Please expect our invitation shortly.
