KVR probably needs a [collapse] tag so when people paste 1000+ words into a post, other people not wanting to read it all won't have to scroll so far just to get to the next post.
You've seen those in various places, a big quote or paste with a + sign next to it to expand it. You know how it goes, Reaper or Logic or something will release and instead of just linking to it, somebody always pastes in all 200 lines into a forum post.

I was just wondering where the sounds were coming from that Keith Borman is demonstrating in the video since all i see him using is just the Computer and Midi Keyboard. When it comes to this sort of thing im just stupid i guess...I'm sorry.

I wonder if stuff like this could be done in pure data or max?deastman wrote:I had forgotten about the audio to midi feature. I'm not sure if I ever used that.
I'm surprised that modern DAWs don't all have the ability to manage multiple sequences in one project. That really seems like such an obvious feature. I spend a lot of time in Adobe software such as After Effects and Premiere Pro, and they allow you to have multiple timelines and nest them inside each other. Even Audition has multiple timeline management. I'm not sure why this isn't common in DAWs.

That wouldn't make much sense, since we're talking core functionality here. Like if Sonar for example allowed you to have multiple projects open, each with their own timeline, and then nest multiple project timelines inside another one. That is pretty fundamental to the way Adobe After Effects works... You can't get very far without nesting timelines ("precomposing comps") inside each other. Trying to cobble something like that together with Max would be an awkward hack at best.memyselfandus wrote:I wonder if stuff like this could be done in pure data or max?deastman wrote:I had forgotten about the audio to midi feature. Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Looks like
The ability to have nested timelines ("precomposing comps") inside each other. Or something Would be a great feature request.

Random note: also multiple independent play cursors that have their individual set of parameters for tempo subdivisions and transposition, even play direction. Would be ideal inside Live clips and similar. Once you see that in action it's totally "HUH why isn't this implemented in... pretty much anything."memyselfandus wrote:The ability to have nested timelines ("precomposing comps") inside each other. A great little inspiration app on iPad, that

No, but the workflow to accomplish something similar is much more convenient in Fugue Machine.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Can Fugue Machine do anything multiple Live Clips can't?

But less satisfying than using your own ingenuity to push a DAW in different directions.deastman wrote:No, but the workflow to accomplish something similar is much more convenient in Fugue Machine.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Can Fugue Machine do anything multiple Live Clips can't?
Live is good that way
