Lost in KVR land

I have no idea where to post a system related question about my current Mulab, on an old laptop, and a new windows 10 laptop, with a freshly downloaded "upgraded" Mulab. Both Versions are the latest two versions, the newest, and the previous version. My question concerns the permanent user key being switched to the new laptop with the new version, and the months and months of work I have on the old laptop. There is a lot of half finished projects on the old version, and I have lost things before because of an upgrade on an app.

I am wondering a few things. Will my older version projects transfer?
If not, will the transfer of the user key to the new version render the old version inoperable, and therefor I loose the work anyway?
If for some reason I don't like the updated version (the one I have works )and want to go back to the other version can I switch back?

I am lost, and can't find anything related to the questions in Mulab DOCS, or the site support center. Does anyone here have Mulab and have been through this upgrade process? I really don't want to loose any work. I realize I can backup single tracks, but I am more worried about mixes, plugin settings and the like that really took a while to set.

I have read the Mulab DOCS about this issue, but what is not mentioned is that I am also upgrading the laptop to windows 10, just to further simplify. I know Mulab doesn't install, so I am going to try this anyway. Sorry for the earlier post :p

Copy your Mulab/User folder into the the Mulab/ install. All settings and projects should be imported to the new version.
