i don't master, but this is really great for busses as well. it maybe a touch cpu heavy, but nothing like the 50-60% with one instance people are seeing. i'm mostly using single band, no ISP etc, since they're just buss comps...so, it's a more cpu-nominal use case anyway.
anyway...results are really really nice so far on some vocals, without having really dug into the advanced stuff yet.
win10x64, cubase 8.5 (vst3, 1.0.0b beta version).

I run a small studio but am no mastering engineer. My monitoring setup is less than perfect at the present (Good but my new room is not as well treated as I want it at the present)
Mastering for me is small projects that don't have a budget for a separate mastering facility etc. or pre master demos for artists who will never understand that being softer than their reference material pre mastering is deliberate.
My mastering efforts have been centred around the Ozone 6 (advanced) maximizer using setting III which I like a lot. Where needed I use Equilibrium + the Elysia Alpha plugin before this (+sometimes Mdynamic EQ).
I was planning on updating to Ozone 7 advanced but didn't find much incentive in their pricing etc. so this is a tempting alternative.
I find Limitless more spacious/dimensional and transparent but only by a percentage (so far). Jobs I have done with Ozone still sound great and I feel no desire to re master the projects I have just completed.
I probably don't NEED Limitless but I am sure I will cave in and get it in the intro period. It has also made me finally trial Compassion. Damn thats a lot of cash to blow over 2 plugins - $500 au. I wish there was a bit more of a package deal!

Hey,
Just a quick one to say that I'm going to release 1.01 in a bit; just doing some final optimising
If anyone is still having issues, the public beta seems to be fixing things, and 1.01 includes even more fixes.
Back later,
Dave.

Just started the demo on this (ugh, didn't want to)...quick question: is there any way to lock the threshold so it remains static when browsing presets? The first thing I did was load it up, adjust the threshold, then played around with the different "easy" modes. Then I decided to check out some of Bmanic's presets and just found it annoying to have to re-adjust the threshold each time I changed presets. I'd be able to hear what each preset is really doing if there was a threshold lock similar to how the Valhalla reverbs have a mix lock.

Click the padlock icon on the clutter bar to lock threshold, ceiling and input gain. Similarly, you can "lock" the GUI by disengaging the green GUI button to the right of the preset title.

I was looking for it in the section on the left. It never even occurred to me that it might be at the top. Thanks!Hermetech Mastering wrote:Lock icon at top of window.

Hey Dave and Krz
I was thinking that a way to lock the clipping section might also have value when auditioning presets. It could be an option in the preset tray, much like the GUI/DSP/EQ buttons in Equilibrium.
Cheers

I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored...

Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.
