Anyone using X-Keys to trigger Hotkeys or macros?

2. I was wondering if it can learn the macro by simply recording the mouse events. That would be great
I want to send commands to my DAW and VST’s like record, change focus, enable crossfades etc…

4. Is there a virtual bar or strip that can do the same thing? It will seat on the bottom of a touch screen like my 23” Viewsonc 10-tpuch monitor.

It seems to me that that having hot keys on the bottom of a monitor is a great idea
especially if it is a multi-touch monitor.
