HELP if u can please... i normally use fl controllers for automation, but can i use MIDI OUT automation in the piano roll??...because the MIDI OUT works when i press the note on my keyboard but doesnt work when i draw the notes in to the piano roll... please advise??

You have to make sure that the port numbers and channel numbers are matched
between what you are sending , and what is receiving ...
Understanding the FLS wrapper is the key to this process ...

Ack.. I don't understand what you are asking.
What exactly are you trying to automate?
Are you talking about using the "midi out" generator? Or are you talking about the midi out settings in preferences?

I think I may know what you are trying to do.
Maybe your midi controller is somehow directly triggering the external synth you are trying to control and it's not actually the midi out plugin.
It might be that you did not set up the "ports" properly. In the preference window, under midi, you will need to make sure that your midi out out is assigned to a port. This is done by dragging the --- up and down to select a port number. It doesn't matter which one.
Then you will need to have the midi out generator set to the same port (upper right hand corner). Also you will need to make sure it is set to the same channel that your synth is set to receive on.

My ports are set up correct...im not trying to play or automate a vst synth...im trying to automate the controls of a vst effect...i add the effect to a channel, then go to current project at the top left ..click on effects.. then the effect ive chosen is there...then i click link to a controller.... then the remote control settings come up i want to use midi ...ive matched ports & channel numbers...but not working in piano roll???
