But it would be way cool, and I guess doable

A right click inside the Kontakt interface would bring up a list of available modules, selecting one or more of those would then lead them to snap onto under the selected sample channel, with dedicated GUI's for hands on easy tweaking

You know you already have a list of all the modules in the left side browser? Go to Modules tab... You can drag&drop them to the relevant slots, or parameters in case of modulators...

Well if Kontakt 5 seems to have it all already, why the need for Kontakt 6 ?

What you have said is that current effects wont get updated, NKS Komplete Kontrol hybridness is already implemented, and modules are already present in K5

There was no specific meaning behind that sentence, don't read too much into it. Just wait and see.

Kontakt has already had three GUI overhauls (v1/2, v3, v4/5), don't expect the layout to change to something completely different (say, different in vein of Falcon, for example), in case of a fourth overhaul. That just won't happen, I don't think. But I think a good measuring stick was the GUI overhaul that Reaktor 5 had, going from v5.15 to v5.5, then compare v5.5+ with v6. That's the direction in which NI interfaces are going currently.

I'd like a Kontakt that I can actually install on OSX 10.11.
Not one that keeps telling me I need at least 10.8 or so.
Been trying for a week since I re-installed my machine, the only thing that's still not working is Kontakt.
So if they'd release v6 with a 10.11 compatible installer already, that would be grand.

Hm, that seems weird. I hear no particular issues from other people about installing Kontakt to 10.11... You might wanna contact NI support.

Do you think that NI will increase the available real estate for scripted instruments? It seems sort of small to me. ...I have a never-ending wish for more readable (to old farts like me) GUIs.

The K5 GUI can be enlarged up and down by pulling in the lower right corner, but I'm not sure if it can be enlarged left to right?

Some GUI's like SounDsDivine MM+ is quite large IMO

I thought that there is a fixed number of pixels for each side of the rectangle defining the GUI area, or rather that the height had a fixed range between something like 50 pixels to 540 pixels and the width is fixed at something like 632 pixels.

The interface has aged so badly. It feels like I'm using a akai 6000 with a satellite screen.

It's a shame because it's very deep with some scripting but it's quicker in the long run to build something else in reaktor

Kontakt 6 - any rumors about release?
