Would any of you benefit from a book on building midi controllers?

...and how to do so...

Sounds pretty cool man! I'd love to get started making them and a book would definitely ease the process

Dear exoro,

Yes. Most definitely, and if you publish in a tangible form may I suggest it be ring bound so that the book stays flat open. In the mean time I'll be watching all the YouTube videos I can find.
I have a project in mind and it already has 30+ switches and two joysticks so I'm also looking for ways to make joysticks work with their variable motions. It'd be great to be able to buy some kits and wire it up in the combinations I'd prefer the way some are converting toy electronic keyboards into midi controllers.
I don't know how long the Ardrino's been around but I understand that it's open source and anyone can copy it, so with that aspect it's definitely time for a midi controller build manual that gives the reader options to expand on and be given some background knowledge on things. I really liked finding out how midi language works and the functions of a midi input.
If you were to put schematics in the book too that would a be great way to learn how things work, even though explanation on this is not where you want to go. A little with references would be appreciated though.
A manual on just how to connect what to get certain results with expandable options would definitely be something I would be interested in right now because I just googled books on the matter and came across your KVR question. I am prepared right now to make such a purchase for a diy midi controller build manual.
Please write one soon. :tu:

Yes. I've been meaning to dig out some spare microcontrollers and breadboard but never got around to it. Signed up.

I would love something that examines the lower-level architecture of the midi protocol and how it usually is communicated over usb.
